This sounds like a failing power supply. LCD monitors start having this type of problems after 2-3 years of use. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors that start failing in the power supply. We have a page on our web site at: This page explains what the capacitors are and what you will need to get as far as replacement parts go. If you need additional help getting the parts just let us know, you can also join or tech support forum and post pictures of the board and our techs will mark the parts that need replacing, If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service, that information can be found here:

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Viewsonic projector shut down and power button blinking

It may be clogged with dust which in turn causes overheating. Use a can of compressed air from computer store or office supply store and blow air through the air vents of the projector.

HI There, I have just bought a viewsonic pj559d from ebay. Refurbished working with no lamp. I bought a 'JP-UK Genuine Alternative Viewsonic RLC-036-JP Projector Lamp for PJ559D Projector ' and...

A 'genuine ALTERNATIVE', is not a genuine Viewsonic part, but that is unlikely to be the problem. Two choices, take it for professional repair, or send it back to the seller as not working as advertised.

this works for Dell monitors with a similar problem: shut down, turn off monitor and pc, turn off at wall socket, and remove power plugs from wall socket. wait about 30 seconds. plug back in, turn on, and all should be well? I have used this 3 times on a Dell PC with a Viewsonic monitor.

The light went off on my house and when the electricity got back my lcd viewsonic 32" N3252 doesn't turn on also the Red light is off any ideas

When power suddenly goes off from the main source, it tends to damage a component or the other inside a unit, because it was sudden and the unit did not go through a proper shut down process.

If your unit does not come on, and there is no sign that power is coming in, then it means there is a power problem, because there is no power supplied to the unit.

First try to plug the television to another another power outlet to see if it works, then try using another power cord, after doing that, also try to plug the cord to you HDMI port, if it does not come on still, then it means the power panel is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Take care and good luck.

You need to open it up and the first place to look will be the power supply, look for bad caps with bulging top, post back what you find so we can guide you further. See example of failed VIEWSONIC monitors due to bad caps:

My ViewSonic N3252 display is just a black screen in all inputs. Sound works fine but no picture.

As with most LCD screens the two most problems that cause black screen are bad a solderjoint on the inverter board or bulging capcitors, the next problem would be most likely the power mosfets witch break down after time.
