Question about Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router
We are finding we have to unplug our router for a few minutes, then plug it back in every time we want to go online. Do routers eventually wear out?
Routers, like any electronic unit, will get weaker over time. This may not be your problem, though. Take a look at where you have your router placed - there needs to be air room around the unit to stop it from overheating. Also, the power supplies on these routers have a problem with overheating as well. Try moving the router and power supply to a spot that gives them more air. You could also try replacing the power supply instead of the router, because they usually tend to break down more than the routers themselves. Good luck.
