Question about Atari 2600 Console
90% of video problems with these are related to the RCA type cable coming from the machine to the modulator box, OR the modulator (game/tv) switch box itself. If you have another to check with I would diagnose that first.
It could be a cold solder joint on the board, after all these machines are now 30 years old or so. Most that come thru the shop we open, resolder anything loose, replace cables and mod box if necessary and they leave happy with a working refurbished console :)
