SOURCE: How can I dismantling printer Canon iP4300?

Hello,

I just opened mine tonight after finally finding a picture of where the front tabs are!

On the back you will see slots with arrows, take a flathead and push it in the slot and push downward on the screwdriver.

Then pull the paper tray out and look here for the tabs on the front.

http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=df5t4sv5_7gnzwbtgn

I wouldn't recommend dismantling farther than this as this is pretty delicate stuff.

But you can clean your waste pads out where the head parks and make sure they are firmly in position. You can also do a general cleaning I suppose.

Big thanks to RossfroMoz for posting a link to these pics which really really helped.

SOURCE: Hi there i have a problem with the Canon iP4300.

Well every advice is the same except a little altered (use a warm cotton swab to clean inside machine and on print head channels) but then it says if possible replace print head but honestly this has become a primitive Machine for turning humans into corpses - buy a new one.

The following procedures may be used to reset the Canon printer ink level monitoring following the installation of a refilled Canon 30, 31, 40, 41, 50, 51, 210, 211, 240, or 241 integrated ink cartridges. In most cases, the error/alert will need to be cleared to enable printing. Ink waste container reset procedures are also provided below.
NOTE: for multi-cartridge installation, the procedure(s) may need to be repeated twice.

For PGI-5, PGI-9PBK, CLI-8, PGI-220 CLI-221 PGI-225 CLI-226 PGI-250 CLI-251 Cartridges: These are new Canon cartridges which have an embedded chip on each cartridge. If you just refill the ink, the printer will still reads the cartridge as empty. You have two choices:

Purchase a "refillable cartridge" from www.asapinkjets.com
BCH or other sellers. These refillable cartridges have an auto-reset chip (non OEM) and will reset automatically.
Use a chip resetter (e.g., search Canon + model number + resetter on eBay). Follow the instruction below to refill your original cartridge, and use the resetter to reset the chip.

My Pixma iP5200 will not recognize a Staples compatible canon cli-8 cartridge. Any ideas?

Sometimes this happens with the "compatible" cartridges, I would go back and purchase another, and if that one does not work you might be stuck purchasing the genuine cartridges from Canon.

Can you tell me which cartiges I need for my mx700 cannon printer, fax, copier

The Canon mx700 printer uses four (4) cartridges: PGI-5 (Black), CLI-8 (Cyan), CLI-8 (Magenta), and CLI-8 (Yellow). The colors all have the same cartridge number so you will have to specify which one you want.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

How do I direct my Canon ip4300 Printer to no longer print from the normal black 5BGBK cartridge (empty) but to print from the 8BK (full)

You can't because CLI-8Bk ink cartridge is use only for photo printing. For text, document or gray scale printing the printer use PGI-5Bk.You need to replace your empty PGI-5Bk.
