Could be something you have plugged into it making it act that way, (USB device or something in a PCI Slot), that the computer is not compatible with. Remove all devices from the computer which are not necessary, then again attempt to operate your computer in a normal manner. If this persists, I always recommend a clean install of your OS. This is fairly easy to do and doesn't hurt your computer.
