My phone dropped about 3 feet to a carpeted floor. Now there is nothing on the screen. What do I do to fix it?

The touch screen will not come on at all. The on and off button works. That is all.

This was very helpful. Thank you very much. I followed the instructions in the 2nd email and everything worked fine.

Hello,

This is quite unfortunate, sorry for that.

I guess from the message, the phone still power on and other buttons still functions, if it is, all you need to do is to change the screen of your phone.

If the phone is slide phone, please take note, as far as the screen is not broken, it is only the flex on the screen of your phone you will need to change but if the screen is broken or the phone is not slide, then you will need to change the entire screen .

I advice you go with the phone while going to fix the screen in other to get the exact screen and a working screen.

Take care.

    Hello,

Since it powers on, it is possible that the screen of your phone is not well firm to the panel again.

    Get a torx6 screw driver.

First thing you need to do is to power
off your phone, remove the battery, and sim card, Turn the phone over and
    gently remove the front cover.

After you have pull off the front
cover, you can go on with the torx6 screw driver to tighten all the
screws that hold the screen of your phone to its panel very well and
    recouple the front cover back.

Put your sim card and battery to
power on, see if it will display, if it did not still display anything, it means the screen is damaged and has gone bad.

All you will need to do is to replace the screen of your phone with a brand new screen.

Replacing the screen, you will see that it will display.

    Take care.

After the basics, try dropping the camera on a carpeted area from about 2-3 feet. It worked for my Fuji A500 and 90% of the responders on the link. Everything on the web said it would cost ~$100 to fix. I was in the process of researching new cameras to buy and had nothing to lose by dropping it on the floor.
The error may be caused by debris in the zoom mechanism preventing it from working. Dropping the camera loosens the debris and voila!

If bought this at best buy and are still under your MFG warranty they can send it out to repair, or if you have their service plan, nothing you can do, this needs to be sent to a repair facility...
