Burning a CD is not necessary once the popup comes for putting xp disc you can select browse and go the path where you have downloaded the OS. In order to make a CD you are required to have a CD writer and a software Nero. you can start Nero and click on make data CD and then browse to the folder where you downloaded the OS go inside the folder and hit ctrl + A and add. Select next and then burn. Your bootable CD for xp is ready.

Hi,

If you are trying to install the printer without printer CD, windows looks for the driver of it in the system folder and if can not find asks for the windows CD.

If you have the CD of your printer, install the printer driver using that CD which contains the correct driver.

How do you trying to install the printer driver? From the control panel of windows XP operating system or using printer CD.
If you don't have printer driver CD, tell me the version of your operating system (Windos XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 ?), then I can find and send to you.

Can you tell me the exact message of windows, and when this occurs exactly?
Waiting your comments.

Best.

After downloading, run this software to install your printer driver for XP Operating System. (WINDOWS XP (WINDOWS XP SP2 or later is required), WINDOWS 7, WINDOWS VISTA compatible)

If you need you can find the user manual of your printer by clicking HERE which I uploaded for you.

    Hi,

I uploaded XP CD for you. Please click HERE to download it and extract it then burn a CD. It contains XP sp2.

Then Use this XP CD when PC asks for Windows XP while installing your printer.

NOTE: Please try to download from link after 5 mins when you received this comment. Because it will take time to upload the files (about 557 MB).

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Mickey,

I hope you have a CD Driver with record capability in your PC.

If your CD Driver has the capability of to write on the CD's then do the followings to copy the files to a CD:

    1. Insert a blank writable CD into the CD recorder.
    2. Double-click My Computer,
    3. Open the folder which you extracted the XP files (\XP_Copy), and then select all the files in that folder.
    4. Click Copy the selected items option,

    5. In the Copy Items dialog box, click the CD recording drive, and then click Copy.
    6. In My Computer, double-click the CD recording drive.

Windows displays a temporary area where the files are held before they are copied to the CD. Check that the files and folders that you intend to copy to the CD are displayed under Files Ready to Be Written to the CD.
    7. Under CD Writing Tasks, click Write to CD.
    8. After the CD Writing Wizard starts, follow the instructions in the wizard.
    9. When the process is finished, the wizard displays a check box for you to choose to create another CD like the one you just made. Click No. (If you want to create multiple copies of the same CD, click Yes, write these files to another CD and insert another blank, writable CD into the CD recorder. Follow the instructions in the wizard.) NOTE: After you copy files to the CD, it is useful to view the CD to confirm that the files are copied.

    10. Now your XP CD is ready.

    Best.

Can I install a Kodak ESP 3200 Series printer with Windows XP

yes, but you should look for the cd that came with your printer (if you have it) and install that first before you hook up the printer or turn it on. Also, if you already have this printer in your system, delete it and its software before you do a reinstall.

I just got a printer but i don´t know how to install can you help me

First get the printer ready to hook up but do not hook it up. Second boot up your computer and insert the disc that came with the printer, once the disc is in it will pop up a window, something in the window will say something about setup or install, click on that and follow the step by step installation instructions, at a halfway point through this couple of minute installation, the installation will ask you to hook up the printer, which you should do, and finish the installation, then reboot the computer and you should be ok to take out the disc and finish.

Need to install Lexmark X4550 but only have MAC disc am on vista

Are you trying to install the Lexmark X4550 to your Mac computer? What is the exact OS of your Mac (i.e 10.3.x; 10.4.x or 10.5.x)?

You have to make sure that the pinter is compatible with the OS that you have.

I don't have a doubt with the printer since you mentioned that it worked with XP. To install the printer to your Mac, please follow the steps below:

If your printer does not appear in the Printer pop-up menu, find and install the appropriate driver. Check any CD-ROM discs included with the printer, or the website of your printer's manufacturer. Only users with an administrator account can install software.

Tip: You can also open the Printer List window from Printer Center (Mac OS X 10.2.8 or earlier) or the Printer Setup Utility (Mac OS X 10.3 Panther, or later).

Check the Printer menu again after installing the software. If the printer does not appear, you may need to do this:
  1. Make sure the printer is connected to your computer, plugged in, and turned on.
  2. For Mac OS X 10.2.8 or earlier, from the Printer menu in the print dialog choose Edit Printer List. The Printer List window appears.
  3. For Mac OS X 10.3 or later, choose Show Printer List from the View menu. The Printer List window appears.
  4. Click the Add Printer button.
  5. Choose USB from the first pop-up menu.
  6. Select your printer from the list.
  7. Click Add.
  8. Close the Printer List window.
If the printer will not work, you may download the driver from the Web and install it. Here, I have provided you the link where you can download the printer driver:

http://www.findmysoft.com/drivers/Lexmark-X4550-1-0-11-1-printer-driver.html

Just click the download button and install it.

Have a great day!
