Re: Use of Scanner
How to Use a Lexmark All-in-One Scanner
Connect the USB cable from the Lexmark all-in-one scanner to the computer. Plug the unit in and power it on.
Log on to your computer and watch the lower right-hand corner of the screen for the "found new hardware" message. This is your indication that the operating system has found the hardware and is installing the software for it. If you do not see the "found new hardware" message, insert the software CD that came with the Lexmark all-in-one scanner.
Open the top of the unit and spray a small amount of glass cleaner on the scanner glass. It is important that the glass is clean--if the glass is dirty the quality of the scans will be poor. Use a soft, clean cloth to clean the glass thoroughly. Make sure that the cloth you use is very soft--if the cloth is not soft enough it could scratch the glass.
Place the page you want to scan on the scanner glass and close the lid. The side of the scanner will have an arrow that indicates how the paper should be positioned.
Go back to your computer and click on the "Start" button. Click on "All Programs" and look for "Lexmark" on the menu. Look for the scanning option under the Lexmark menu to start the scanning process. The scanner will automatically process the page that is on the scanner glass.

Yes follow the first steps to set up the scanner (charge it, properly insert the memory card, etc.) Then you are ready to scan Once
you press the SCAN button and the Green LED stays lit its time to roll
the scanner down your document to be scanned. When finished press the
Scan button again to STOP the scan. If successful your Document count
in the display will move from 000 to 001. That is the only indication
that you now have a successful scan. Next Press and hold the SCAN button until the display goes blank. Now
you can remove the memory card (by pushing in and it will release).
Place this memory card into a memory card reader on your computer to
transfer and view your scanned documents. Rinse and repeat. BTW, I found a quick start guide for this Pandigital Handheld Wand Scanner Model PANSCN08 at: http://www.qvc.com/footers/E167092_quick-start-guide.pdf
Here's how to stop the unwanted print out of test pages.
1. Let the printer print the test page. 2. Place the printed test page in the scanner face down and wait for 10 seconds. 3. Press the scan button of the printer to scan the printed test page. Make sure that the printer scanned the document properly.
That's it. Every time you install a new cartridge, the printer aligns the print cartridge as well as testing/aligning the scanner.
Note: Try to look at the top of the test page, it should have instructions to place it in the scanner.
I hope that this will help. Thank you for using FixYa. Jas247
When you reintilize the scanner, it should lose all programming and settings. Hold down the Tune/Clear button while pushing the reset button. Do not release the Tune/Clear button until the display clears and returns.
take out the cartrdiges from the printer and then clean the contact points on the back of the cartridges. then unplug the power cable from the back of the printer and then press and hold down the color copy and cancel button at the same time. and then plug back the power cable back into the printer. try to power on the printer and insert the cartridges one by one into the printer.
