Shut the water off to the washer and remove the filler hose at the washer. There should be a screen there to catch debris. Inspect the screen, it may be clogged. While you have the hose off get a 5gal. pail and see if the water flows freely into it. If the screen doesn't exist and the water flows freely from the hose then you may have a clogged or defective valve.

The first thing I would check is the hoses where they connect from your pipes to the machine. Cut the water OFF and unhook the hoses. There should be screens to block trash in the hoses and on the inlet of the washing machine. Clean these screens if dirty, reassemble, turn on water, and see if pressure improves. If not, can possibly be inlet valve has trash in it and may need replaced.

Just had my Kenmore delivered yesterday and the water trickles in! Initially, when I moved it to warm it did come out normally, but then it also slowed to a trickle. Same if I move it to rinse. I called...

There is a wire screen filter in the water hose where it connects to the water supply. It's probably clogged with sediment from the water supply. It usually happens with the cold water only so try hot water and see if it's better.

Cold water good for a few minutes then slows to a trickle. Shut off for a few hours and cold water good again for a few minutes. Inlets are clear. Is this normal behaviour for a dying valve?

Yes, it will fail soon. it is beat to go ahead a order a new inlet valve assembly asap. the pressure sensors that are housed in the valve assembly are failing.

No water pressure on fill.

Hi, If you have checked the screens in the mixer valve and there is nothing plugging it, then it is most likely the mixer valve.
I hope this helps. Please let me know and feel free to rate my response to you.

Thanks
Vic

Hot water just trickles in both of my Kenmore top loader washers

Try reversing hot for cold hoses and see what happens. That will test your valves, hot water pressure, etc. As far as I know, the valve screens are right where the hoses hook up.

Cold water trickle hot water runs good

turn off water valves at wall, disconnect the supply hoses from the washer. where the hoses connect to the washer, there is usually a stainless steel screen/strainer inline on both the hot and cold inlet. corrosion on the cold side is pretty common. Menards, Lowes Home Depot stores sell the replacment screeens.

Cold water filling

There are filter screens where the supply hoses connect to the washer. On some brands there is a screen where the hose connects to the water valve at the wall. The screen is probably full of sediment.

I have a kenmore model # 110.26934691 / 90 series

Check the warm and hot cycles. If they work then the pressure valve needs replaced. Disconnect the watert hose to machine and make sure water comes out. Back screens may be clogged also.
