If that doesn't work hit the TX button inside the transmitter and it will manually sync the two devices.

Try turning off both units, then power up the receiver first and then the transmitter. Do this with the units side by side to be sure it is not a range issue.

Raytek FoodPro plus, when I press the mode button to use the probe, the temperature goes straight up and then errors, red light and all the numbers turn to 88888, anybody got any ideas?

Is the probe extended when this condition occurs?

Probe Mode
To measure the internal temperature of an object, extend the probe (see
Figure 3) and press the SELECT button until the Probe Icon is displayed
(see Figure 4). Insert the probe at least 12 mm (1/2 ") into the target and
press the ON button to measure the core temperature.
The Probe Icon on the display will blink for approximately 15 seconds as
the probe comes to equilibrium with the object being measured. Three
short beeps will sound to indicate the reading is complete and the
temperature will be shown on the display. When the highest accuracy is
required, it is advisable to repeat the measurement cycle to insure the
probe has fully stabilized and reached equilibrium with the object.

I have an Mi212 remote meat thermometer and it no longer gives me the temperture only 3 initials like KKK something like that which looks like a code.

I had the same problem with mine. As soon as I replaced all 4 batteries, hit the reset button on the probe unit, turned both off, turned the receiver unit on, then turned the probe unit on, it started working fine.

I've misplaced the operating instructions for my williams sonoma remote meat thermometer. I can't get the probe unit/base to sync with the remote transmitter or to show a temp on the base unit and find a...

This is for a model ET-903WS: Turn the base unit on first. This is the unit with the larger display & buttons. Hold the power/mode button (upper left) down until you hear 3 beeps and the display lights up. Mine then displays "BEEF" and shows 160, with 3 blinking spaces. Next, plug the probe into the smaller remote unit. You should get 1 beep, the remote will display the temperature and the base will now display the same temp where the blinking spaces were. The first couple of times I tried, the base would not display. Unplug the probe, turn the base off holding down the same power/mode button and start over. I've had to do this as many as 4 times but it has worked perfectly while I wrote this!?! I really like this thermometer because I can put the meat on the grill go inside and have a drink while watching the game and then a friendly voice comes on when the internal temp is within 10 degrees of your target and says: Your food is almost done...your food is almost done." If you sleep through that, she comes back on at temp and says "Your food I'd done...your food is done". I take most meat off at the first warning and wrap it in foil. Watch the probe and it will continue to rise for about 20 mins. Enjoy.

Not getting areading on receiver

Try turning on the receiver first, then the transmitter. The dashes usually mean there is no communication between the transmitter and receiver. You may also want to try moving the units closer together.

Maverick et 72 remote thermometer when it is turned on it reads HHH

If the receiver and/or the transmitter display LLL or HHH instead of the probe temperature,
wait for probe to reach room temperature. If LLL or HHH is still displayed it is likely the
internal probe wire has shorted out either through moisture or heat damage.
