Clarion DX-425: You cannot pull the stuck CD straight out with pliers/tweezers because it sits on a plastic tray that has 2 plastic tips that keep it in place and blocks the entrance. First, press the DCP Release button to detach the face plate (Control Panel), then look inside the opening with torchlight and you can see 2 black vertical plastic tips that's between the CD and the slot opening. Solution: You have to use any tool to manually push down the 2 plastic tips (do one tip at a time) as you slide a thin cardboard/plastic in between the CD and the plastic tip to create a gap. The CD should be sitting on the cardboard now. Only then you can use tweezer to pull out the CD. Depending on how its mounted/what type of car you have... detach the face plate and pop off the trip ring, then (if you still have them) the keys that came with the radio along either side of the radio and it should slide right out. if you don't have the "keys" 2 butter knives can do the job in a pinch.

How can I get a cd out of my car cd player if it is jammed

In most cases holding the eject button forces the player to eject it. If that wont work then check to see if you can see it in the slot and use a butter knife to assist it out. Other than that, take the whole unit out of the dash and take it apart.

I installed my new aftermarket CD player on my 1999 Pontiac Grand AM today but as I was putting into the car, the yellow power wire sparked and it wouldn't work. So I figured I blew out the CD player but...

sounds like you have melted the ill. wire into the 12 volt constant somewhere in the wiring harness. You have a few options you can fix it by tracing down power wire behind the dash seperate the 2 wires and tape them back, but that involves taking out the dash to trace them. You could replace the whole harness which again requires taking apart the whole dash and is expensive, or you could run the power wire down to the constent on your cigerette lighter. Find a wiring diagram or test the wires to see which is which. NOTE: always unhook the battery when you are installing a new stereo because the constants are just that a contant 12 volt feed. but to test the cigerette lighter wires you will need to leave the key off and battery on gound your meter to something and which ever wire gives you voltage is the one you want.

How do you get in to remove the stereo?

No don't take the whole dash apart there is usually a bunch of screws and you may have to take apart half of the dash.
There is usually some sort of plastic panel that must be removed than a bracket underneath it all to release the stereo sometime's for example fords have special lock key that you must use to remove it

1996 es 300 lexus cd player wont play says error

For the cd player error.I just fixed mine i had to take the whole unit
out.Take it apart remove the laser and clean it .I'am a Electronics
Tech ( but it's not hard ) use a Q-tip and some 91% Isopropyl Alcohol.
This will help for new cd's.( before even new ones errored out)But old ones, it still error's out.
Because the laser is old and weak. But if you got the time it can't hurt.
good luck

Broken Tape Player

Don't be alarmed too much. Most tape players in vehicles die after 10 years. Mine died in a 20 year old two years ago too. Most likely if the radio is easily removed from the dash go to a dealer or junk yard and find a replacement. Most of the radios of the nineties and up are not easy to take apart and remove just the tape player assembly to replace it. But if it is, check to see if the electric plug wires are snug and plugged in. But your best bet is to just replace the whole unit without trouble.
