Question about Microsoft Office Excel 2003 for PC
We have several users who are able to search inside Outlook 2003 email attachments using the Find bar. No add-ins. After doing extensive research every thing I have found says they can't do this. I created a freshly loaded pc. Windows xp SP3 and MS-Office 2003 only. I created a user profile and setup Outlook. Much to my surprise, this new pc is able to search text inside of attachments. The search string IS NOT in the subject line nor in the body of the email. It is only in the attachment. The problem is that this functionality "breaks". Since I don't know what "turns it on" I can't turn it back on. Please advise.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Have you tried the repair option in Outlook? From the help menu, you can choose Detech and Repair. Also, you can choose to repair all of Microsoft Office from the Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, find Microsoft Office, and click change. Then You can choose to repair.

SOURCE: Can't select Outlook profile
Go to the start menu and select the Control Panel.
Double click the Mail icon, and then select Show Profiles, then select "Prompt for a profile to be used". Then click OK and restart Outlook.

Outlook -> Tools-> Rules and alerts -> create a rule :
-> New rule -> Move messages from someone to a folder -> Under step 2 -> select the recipient from whom you recieve the e-mail -> create a folder -> Next -> Next-> Next -> select "Turn on this rule" and finish.
Your rule is created.
It is not possible to save the attachment in the series as you wish until the recipients gives the name of the attachment as a format you need ( Which is not possible as you recieve several msgs from that e-mail address)

Hope this works :
Close Excel first and check out if Outlook or Outlook Express/Windows Mail is your mail program for Office.
Start>Settings>Control Panel....Internet options (Program Tab)
In Vista : Start>Default programs
Controls to send mail might be missing missing or disabled or there are errors when you try to mail.
when u get this error message "General Mail Failure " The "E-mail" command is missing or is unavailable, see
for excel 2003 chek the registry for errors
hope it works ......
