I would suggest a signal booster.

Signal Booster
The Motorola Signal Booster is designed to improve broadband signal strength up to 32 times and help eliminate the common effects of “snowy” pictures. This amplifier enables the clear transmission of multiple voice, video, and data services via broadband consumer products, such as set-top terminals and cable modems. The Signal Booster, which comes with a one-year limited warranty, is sold as a self-install kit with all of the necessary equipment included.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: sb4200 modem not working

The only time you need software for a Motorola SB4200 is if you are using USB. If you use ethernet then it is simply plug and play, no drivers required.

The USB Drivers are here.

http://broadband.motorola.com/consumers/products/SB4200/downloads/v2.4.5_WHQL_Drivers.exe

Good Luck.

Hope this helps.

I have a a motorola SB4200 cable modem. The internet goes pretty fast however the download speed is really slow. Are there any things a could do about it?

That modem is too old to use. Most cable systems have upgraded to DOCSIS 2.0. Yours is not. Call your data support line and ask. It will still work, but very poorly and can be intermittent.

The SB4200 Modem according to the Motorola website does NOT have wireless capabilities. In fact not a lot of cable modems do have wireless built in to them.

That is the modem to which you refered and it does not have wireless. In order to connect your Wii wirelessly you would need to purchase a WIRELESS ROUTER, which most major stores carry varios brands such as Linksys or Netgear.

It could be your modem HFC MAC ID is not register with your local cable tv company. You may need to call your cable provider to register your cable modem on their networks.
