I am trying to put a sterio in a mitsubishi varada 98 model and we cant wire it proply

I guess the problem is trying to figure out which one is the power, accessories, ground, speakers, etc.

1. Get a DC tester, the ones which has a bulb on the end. Or a multimeter.
2. Make sure you connect the clamp to ground, usually the door hinges is a good option.
3. Turn everything off, take the keys off.
4. Start testing each of the cables. The one that lights up with everything off is the power.
5. Now tape the power so you don't make contact with metal.
6. Turn the car key to ACC position.
7. Start testing with the DC tester. The one that lights up now is the ACC.
8. Now the negative is usually black.
9. Now you can run new speakers cables from your new radio.

If you are installing an amp, you will just have to run the remote from your new radio to the amp to turn it ON.

The AMP installation is different from the radio.

Hope it helps.

God Bless You!!

Need help with door speaker wiring for 1997 Explorer

hook a single speaker to 1 contact doesnt mater witch wire is witch
gat a tone generated mp3 from internet burn to cd
put cd in turn it up and look to see what way the speaker moves
once you figure that out remember a speaker should deflect outward not inward hook wires accordingly 1 by 1 and you are done
place hand on speaker b4 your friend turns up the radio each time and you can feel the speaker away or push up on you
remember to mark your wires for future
i like the addage this is not negitive.. so tie a knot in the positive wire

2002 Ford Explorer Sport - Blown Subwoofer

yes you can replace it but is gonna be costly, because your gonna need a box plus the new woofer, any after market will not fit plus will require more power ,so your gonna need a bigger amp, plus wiring etc,,,,,re consider using a factory sub again or replace the sub plus the amp..check the replacements and amps at crutchfield..good luck

Speaker for ford explorer

Most Ford Explorers have screws at the door handle and maybe at the sides. Door should slide up off its hooks once screws are removed. You will find 5X7s but you can go larger.

Jenson touch screen head unit is all hooked up properly in a 2001 honda civic if i turn it up to around 25 with loud off and bass down it will shut off for a few seconds and then turn back on and repeat...

the onboard amp in the deck can't keep up and overheats inturn shutting off the speakers , this is common in jensen touchscreens esp the 9412 9512 and the uv 8 best thing to do is buy a 4 channel amp and the problem will be solved sometimes running a bigger constant power wire to the deck will help a little but not much better off buying a 4 ch amp
