How to install the wand handle catch

If the wand keeps coming away from the machine then it is likely that on the back of the machine the four pegs that hold the wand in place 1 or more are broken.

If this is the case then the fault is not the wand but the spine of the machine. You would require a new or sevond hand spine and it would mean completly stripping it.

I have a hoover steam vac F5915-900 I bought at walmart about 4 months ago. I used it about 5 times in differnet rooms. Today when I went to use it It won;t pick up the dirty water. I cleaned the filter...

Make sure the suction area of the face plate is clear of all debris. If anything else, call the number on the machine, it's still under warrantee if the machine doesn't work from normal use.

How can i change myswitch on my dc07

Take of Cyclone and wand and hose so that you are left with only the the spine.

On the from of the spine at the top you will see a small silver screw. You will need to unscrew this with a Torqx Screwdriver.

Now turn the machine round and on the rear of the machine at the top of the spine you should insert a flat headed screwdrive to the clips on the left and the right. Insert the screw driver and hit the end of the screw driver to knock the clip out,. do this for both sides.

Yuo will then have access to the switch area.

Simply swap the swicth with replacement switch.

This is embarassing, but I have just looked at the Dyson DC07 manual and at my Dyson for about 20 minutes, and I can't for the life of me find the wand release button on my actual Dyson.....the manual...

Hi the wand release button is located directly above the the Cylinder release button. The wand release button looks like the picture below. In order to releease the wand you must firstly make sure the Electrical cable is not wrapped up for storage. So unwrap the electrical cable. then find the item as in the picture. Press this button in and at the same time lift the wand. This will realease the wand from the spine of the Dyson. dumfriesdon.jpg

Oreck won't pick up dirt.

Check the roller brush, dust channel and then the back spine tubes - two parts which also holds the cloth bag - which holds it at the bottom via a spring. Unhook this, and prise up the rubber rings that hide the push in locks. Push the locks in and the spines should separate. You may need to undo the power cord since it comes out the top near the handle at the bottom. Check both spines and remove clogs with a thin round stick. Put everything back together slowly and switch on.

No dispensing of water from container.

Check the bottom of the tank, there should be a gasket on the valve at the bottom of the tank. Must be on the tank and not sitting in the hole. Make sure the tank is sitting firmly and not off set even a little. Loosen the cap for the flow indictor while running, then tight when fluid starts leaking out, stop when the spinner starts spinning. Other then that you may have a clogged line somewhere.

Bissell Powerwash Proheat, flow indicator not rotating

Is it spraying? Is so, maybe the cap for the indictor can be too tight, or loose, maybe be bad and allowing an air leak. The white filter under the indictor may need to be cleaned. If no spray:
Does water squirt out of the hose nozzle, if it does, then check the heater inside the handle asm. Make sure that where the tubes hook up to it are not clogged. If water doesn't squirt, check for the seal at the bottom of the tank, it needs to be on the tank, not in the hole. The flow indictor cap is leaking air or maybe is too tight. If you had the top cover off, make sure that the tubes are routed right so as not to get pinched when the cover is put back on, the smart mix knob should be in the water setting and that the piston is on the bottom of the smart mix knob. Pump is bad. Try running a mix of vinegar and mater thru it to see if it will unclog it.

I have a bissell 1698 powersteamer. i have already cleaned heater and completely cleaned all parts , checked the mix piston, checked belt. it will not shoot water or mix. the motor runs, it will ****...

Pump is probably bad. When you put the lid back down, did you put the piston on the bottom of the smart mix knob? Also the smart mix knob should be in the water only selection when the top is pushed all of the way down. Also sometimes the flow indictor cap can give you a problem with it leaking air.

No water out bottom..

Pump may be bad, also the cap for the flow indictor may be leaking air. Does the automix vale knob turn easily? If it turns real hard, then piston that the knob works may be jammed. Ckeck the seals on the bottom of both tanks to make sure they are on the tank and not sitting in the holes.
