Samsung HLM507W DLP TV

Hi Bobbyj,

Thanks very much for your advise on my power off/on issue. I had a feeling that it was either the lamp or the fan. Thanks for steering me in the right direction. Take care, Jeff

Hi There... I have problem with my Infocus LP 130 The power is still ON, fan at the back is still working caused I can feel the air flow, but no light coming out from the lens. Can you please advise, what...

theres another fan next to the engine. all fans must work for the lamp to light. the colorwheel must be turning freely for the lamp to light. you can also take the top cover off and then slide the lamp out and then back in while watching to see if the connection on the lamp is pushing the female part on the lamp housing back instead of going into it. if it is, hold the female part in place with a driver or something while pushing the lamp into it.

It sounds like an internal problem. How long have you owned the projector? How long have you been experiencing this issue? Once I have more information I can assist you further.

I replaced the lamp and still have black screen

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with open the back off the unit and use compressed air to blow out all the dust from the components and avoid blowing it into the fan on the right as the dust will end up inside the lamp module. If still the issue is not resolved then check the Ballast which is the power source for the Lamp, as if that is not working it won’t let the lamp to work. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

I have a wd65100 when powered on i get steady orange light then status blinks red & green,unpluged for 1 hour tv is working but dark picture

This issue can be due to ballast fan, lamp or high temperature. However, to figure out this we'll need to check for the TV from inside(wiring & testing the components) or the other way is when the lights blink again then follow the procedure given. After you turn on the set, and get the red blinking lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.

The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.

For example, 4 flashes, then 1 flash = 41.

Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:

12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Benq pb6100, light bulb does not on, power ok

I fixed the exact same problem on my PB6200. Both back fans were not working, and the bulb would not turn on.

In my projector, the fan board had a bad capacitor. The fan board is the one where all 3 fans are connected, and which is facing upside down on top of the powerboard. The bad capacitor on my projector was coded C7302 on the schematics. It's a brown, 25v 470uf capacitor.

I recommend you to open your projector, unplug all connections to the fan board, turn it upside, and inspect the capacitors and other components. Bad capacitors have a bulge and/or a black stain or fluid coming out on the top. You can find pictures on the net.

Check the thermal fuse part# 1-910-006-44. You can verify this by jumping the fuse and the lamp should come on (it is located under the lamp)
