Question about Keurig Elite B40 Coffee Maker
I think I am wasting coffee, because the serving size is too small. How can I increase the volume of the brewed coffee?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Using the 1-4 cup setting will help, but that model does not have an actual heating element in the plate - definitely not the right model for someone who likes very hot coffee.

SOURCE: will only brew small cup
Every level is a physical sensor in a clear plastic housing just above the main water heater...
when you select a size, the main pump starts to push water into the heater, and the hot water fills this plastic housing... there are about 7 stainless steel sensors that make contact with the water level... based on what you selected...
without knowing how long you had the unit and the type of water is used... etc.etc. you can try the obvious... run vinegar thru it and see if the unit starts working correctly. replace the water with vinegar and let the vinegar work for a few hours...
Otherwise you are relegated to opening up the unit and resetting the connections... which go intermittent and lose connectivity.
I have a discussion on this site about taking off the black shroud and opening up the panel that has all of the connections that unplug...
those get reseated, and that usually fixed it.....

I too own a Keurig Platinim.. I haven't a solution for your problem but I can tell you that your description of it is right on... I have had the same problem. Every month or two, my Keurig will decide I need a large cup rather than the size I chose. I've found no way to solve it... even unplugging the machine doesn't help. In the end, I remove my Kcup, and let the machine process a large cup of water. After that, it runs perfectly.... well, until the next time the Ghost appears.
