Ok rear projection for starters is not considered flat panel. Remember that when it comes to looking for service. Bulbs in these are like halogen bulbs in street lights, they last a long time but dont burn out like a home light bulb they act odd then die. I suggest replacing the bulb, clean out all cooling fans of dust and from the menu there should be an alignment/convergance option to tune it in. Every time you move the tv you should align it.

My Mitsubishi 55" will black out after so many minutes

the problem is in the optical block..the driver heats up and shuts to protect itself from total damage..that's why it turns fine after a reset and shuts afterward..this problem will continue until the drive complete gives up..cooling system might not working properly or the drive has an internal short circuit and need to be replaced..a professional service is suggested..

I just bought a 55 Inch Rear Projection HD Mitsubishi TV. 2002 model year. It appeared to work fine yesterday at the guys house before I bought it then I brought it home and I have a flickering going on....

It's not a banged-out connection, something is wrong with the analog inputs (and only them, the rest of the tv is ok) - probably caused by a faulty capacitor either in the corresponding power line or the signal path itself, normal problem for a tv of that age. You will gonna have to open it and see where the problem is.

My 55413 flashes from black screen to normal. It

Howdy,
The control buttons may be getting stuck. Try this:
1. Remove front speaker grill
2. Disconnect the two cables that are sticking out of the top of the inner cover. The TV will still work with remote. If that helps replace switches, control board not available. Part Number 432P109010 quanity 9.

Hope this helps, big IRISH.

You will need to contact a Mitsubishi Authorized repair facility. The entire electronics package must be removed and sent back in to Mitsubishi. The problem is the Formatter circuit board which is no longer available as a replacement part. The repair cost is very expensive and must be quoted by the facility you contact not me. Expect 4-6 weeks turnaround.

Move it with an appliance hand truck and do not lay it on it's side. When transporting, always keep unit standing upright. Good Luck
