Whenever i send a fax, the machine confirms by viewing 'TRANSMITTING OK' but the addressee receives a blank document

Check the baud rate of your transmissions. Slow them down to the slowest setting and send a test fax to a helpful person. Slowly increase the baud rate (communication data speed) and send the fax test. When the fax doesn't show up on the receive site, then step one baud rate speed back, and save the setting.

It could also be your fax that is faulty, or even the receive sites fax, also being faulty.

To test your copy-head, insert a document into your loading section of the fax and press copy. If the copy prints out fine, then you know the head is reading correctly.

It is also possible that the receiver fax (the other end) has a printhead failure.

Where do I find Baud 9600 Rate and ECM?

You can't, plus it will not help on a digital phone system. ALL fax machines are ANALOG devices.

Send and receive speed

That's not even a coherent response. Even analog phones go from an analog signal from your home, to a digital signal at the carrier, to an analog signal at the recipients end. It all goes digital at some point.

Fax machines work fine with a digital phone. The baud rate may need to be lowered in some cases, but working for a cable company, I've personally worked with hundreds of fax machines that work just fine.

Try lowering the baud rate and/or using a DSL filter if you are having problems. If you are unable to find the baud rate or speed setting on your fax, you may want to contact Canon to find out how.
