It could be one of two things. First and most common is one of the sensors is dirty/stuck and a quick round of compressed air will usually take care of it. This is especially common if you have been running 3 hole punched paper as the loose punches tend to cover sensors. Recycled paper also tends to leave some dusty residue and that will, in time, obscure the sensors, along with a dusty environment or if the machine is on the floor. Another possibility is one of the physical sensors got knocked off course a bit. This could be caused by pulling out jammed paper too roughly or running lots of heavy paper through the unit. I would do a visual inspection for any bent or crooked parts.

Drum counter is reset by installing a new drum which contains a specifically designed "starter sheet" that is passed through the machine when it is installed, and triggers the paper sensors in a specific pattern, resetting the electronic counter.
If you have installed a new drum and the message remains......I suspect that it was a remanufactured unit that did not include the "starter sheet" Is that the case?

Try making prints or copies with the rear door open. If it does not jam your fixing unit (hot area) is functioning properly. With the rear door closed try again making copies or prints. If it jams it's most likely the exit rollers acting up.
1. I've seen the exit sensor break on these units and sometimes the drive gears wear and do not feed properly.
2. If using after market toner or refills this may also coat the exit roller with a film which prevents the exit rollers from feeding parper out by reducing the friction of theses rollers. Clean with fantastic untill cloth does not turn black.
