Lower the tension on the discs and double check the routing of the thread.

Haven't had the Singer Sew Simple very long. Second time to use it. Ready to throw it out the window. Bobbin tension seems to be off. Thread keeps knotting up and breaking under fabric, jamming the...

Have you tried re-threading it? Remember to keep the presser foot up as you thread so that the tension discs are open. Re-thread the upper thread because it can often cause bobbin jams.
Perhaps your tension discs are blocked, try running a thicker thread through by hand to clean them.
Check there are no broken threads in the bobbin raceway.
Sometimes the wrong size needle upsets the tension.

Lower the tension as much as you can without ending up with a knotted string. You should be able to pull the thread by hand through the needle and have just enough tension so the bobbin does not keep spinning when you give a short, sharp tug to the thread.

Hope I helped!

Thread keeps breaking, can't seem to get the

1. Maybe you are using the wrong size machine needle or poor quality thread.
2. You must always lift the presser foot before threading the machine to release the tension discs.
3. Maybe you have broken thread stuck in the discs or bobbin race. Give them a clean. Pull a thicker thread by hand through the tension discs when the presser foot is up.

Bottom tension very loose, looks like a crocheted string. I've changed needles, bobbins and tried adjusting tension.

Rethread your machine, you haven't got your thread going through the tension discs right or your thread is tangled

Thred keeps braking

It might be tension to tight, threaded wrong or the bobin isn't thread the right way.

Bobbin holder keeps catchin thread

Try re-threading, make sure the presser lifer is up so the tension discs are open and the thread will go into them. It sounds like you may have missed either the upper tension discs or the take up lever.

A drop of oil on the hook wouldn't hurt if you haven't oiled in awhile.

good luck!
