Hi,a detailed description of how to thread your sewing machine is provided below, however you can download the manual of your pfaff 130 at

    STEP 1
Raise the needle to its highest position by turning the handwheel toward you

    STEP 2
Raise the presser foot. This will allow the thread to easily pass through the threading points and will prevent the machine needle from becoming unthreaded when you begin to stitch.

    STEP 3
Place a spool of thread on the spool pin located at the top of your sewing machine. If the spool pin runs horizontally, secure the spool of thread with the cap provided.

    STEP 4
Take hold of the thread end and pass it through the designated threading points on the top of the machine casing, then down toward the tension assembly. The tension assembly is located on the left side of the machine and controls the flow of thread.

    STEP 5
Take the thread under the tension assembly and back up through the next threading point at the top left of the machine. Make sure the thread has passed between two tension discs as well as the hook that may be attached to the left side of the tension dial.

    STEP 6
Push the thread end through the lever at the top left of the machine, if applicable, and down through the threading points at bottom left and above the needle.

    STEP 7
Thread the needle from the front or back of the needle.

    STEP 8
Pull a few inches of thread through the eye of the needle and pull the thread to your left.

    STEP 9
Insert a wound bobbin into the machine, if necessary, and close the throat plate. A few inches of bobbin thread should be pulled out to the right and sticking out from under the closed throat plate.

    STEP 10
Take hold of the thread that has been threaded through the machine needle.

    STEP 11
Rotate the hand wheel toward you until the needle disappears into the bobbin case.

    STEP 12
Keep holding on to the thread and move the hand wheel so the needle is once again at its highest position. As the needle rises, a loop of bobbin thread will come up as well.

    STEP 13
Pull the thread out toward your left to draw the bobbin thread loop further out of the bobbin case.

    STEP 14
Let the top thread go and pull the bobbin thread up until the end comes up. Pull the top and bottom threads under the presser foot and to the back and right of the machine.

    Thanks and take care

I went google and typed in--user manual for elinta sewing machine model 130-- and the sites show 130, 140 and more so select a site and go from there
thee is also a>watch that runs for 1.29 and shows how to thread an old elna sewing machine

How do I fix a bobbin that keeps clogging on my Bernini 130

You have a problem with a poor quality thread that frays. The other reason is the tension spring on the bobbin is too tight or it is rough, causing damage to the thread. Try quality thread and your problem should go away.

Adjust dog feed

The feed dogs in all Classic Bernina machines from the 130-180\'s will eventually come out of adjustment. This is due to the so-called cost savings modern manufacturing method of drilling holes in the machine frame parts and using thread forming screws instead of tapping or cutting cylindrical threads and the use of standard fasteners.

Regarding the screw fastener itself having a cylindrical screw form, the Bernina Classic machines used thread forming screws. Not necessarily a bad thing but in this case a dumb idea. Because these screws are not exactly cylindrical, they will not hold tight over time, hence loosening of the feed dog\'s height adjustment. You will need a T-10 Torx screw driver to make the adjustment.

Proceed by opening the bobbin cover door. You will find a rectangular opening to your upper right and will be able to see the screw head of the feed dog adjustment. With the feed dog in the upper most raised position, loosen the screw and lift the feed dog. Tighten the screw.

Check the height of the feed dog by rotating the hand-wheel in the direction of motion until the needle eye is flush with the needle plate. The feed dog teeth will also be flush in the normal position. If too high or too low, readjust to this height and, voila\'..... SewTechnical Home

I have a Bernina 130, the thread from the bobbin is coming out with huge loops, the top thread looks great, but turn over the fabric and you have a mess. Any advice is welcome.

Usually if your bobbin thread is loopy it's because the TOP thread is not threaded right. Try threading it again with the presser foot UP and make sure to get the thread between the upper tension discs. It's just the opposite of what you would think.....if the bobbin thread is loopy, the top thread is threaded wrong, if the top thread is loopy, the bobbin is threaded wrong. Good luck!

Error code E52 can't find manuel doesn't spin fast

bad signal from tacho generator. You have to disconnect the plug from the drive motor and measure the resistance pins 4&5 in the motor. if the reading is between 105 & 130 ohms, replace the speed control board. if the meter reads other than between 105&130 ohms replace the motor.
