Question about HP Pavilion dv6-1030us Notebook

1 Answer

My hp pavilion dv6-1030us is all of a sudden not booting up. It turns on fine but when it comes to the loading screen that says Microsoft Corporation and has the loading bars running across the bottom it stays there. I let it run, sometimes for 30 minutes or so and then it restarts. I have tried to launch startup repair with no success. Any ideas??

Try going into safe mode F5. reboot and keep tapping F5 if you can get into safe mode try a system restore back to the time it was working. if not reload from recovery drive (F11 i think) or from recovery disc.
hope this helps.

Hi

it may be worth trying this

power up and press the Alt+F10 as soon as possible and this may take you into the factory restore option
where you should have about 2 different options of recovery
just follow the on screen instructions

i hope you can get it sorted

I tried replacing my sata drive in my hp pavilion a1330n with my ide drive that was from my hp pavilion a510n. When i boot up the a1330n with the ide drive i get a blue screen saying that it has shut down...

yes the 2 computers are different. Different processors, different memory, different graphics card.To get your ide drive from your hp pavilion a510n to work in your hp pavilion a1330n, you will have to completely re-load the drive when it is installed in the hp pavilion 1330n. Then it will work fine, but you will not be able to use that drive in your hp pavilion a510n. because you will have the same problem but in reverse.

Hello, I have a problem with hp pavilion dv

Try lowering your display settings when it is hooked up to the external monitor. Then try the laptop screen again.
Right click an open area of the desktop, select properties, click the display tab. In the lower left of the box there is a settings slider, try lowering the settings and see if it gets better.

Computer loading up but not logging on..

This has happened because of a Microsoft update:

In Safe mode (F8 at boot up)
Start-search for cmd
With search result -cmd- right click choose option Run as Administrator
type in- net user administrator/ active:yes
type- exit
restart- pc logon screen should show administrator account
if you can logon through this account, alter any accounts you want through control panel
