I don't know how you have it wired, but it is possible that the heater is on at the same time the pump starts and trips. The starter windings in the motor need all of 15 or more amps to start, that is why the lights dim when the fridge starts up. Anyway, if the heater is on the same line, same breaker, it needs to be bigger, and in 110 volt mode , you can't go any bigger than 20, but in 220 volt mode, you can go to 60 amp. that would be 30 amps each, potentially. depending on the voltage of each. Last time it worked ok because it wasn't crossing the line with a start up motor and water heater working at the same time. Now that you are totally confused. Check the breaker, see if there are 2. one for the heater, one for the motor. Hope this helps.

Cooking a roast in small oven last nite, all electric went, oven tripped it. Now no top oven working or main oven or fan. What has gone wrong?

When the mains fuse keeps tripping as soon as you switch on the oven, there could be a shortage in the oven, or some of the voltage is leaking to the ground. What it is causing it? I would not know. sorry.

Blank screen on dell latitude 6400.worked last nite

Try remove the battery and power cord. Then press the power button and hold it down for 10-15 seconds. put everything back in and push power button once. See if this helps it come back on. If not, you may have a bad monitor, backlight, or video output from the motherboard. Hooking the laptop up to an external monitor will help isolate that problem as to what exactly is causing the problem. I hope this helps! :-)

No power at all all of a sudden . the nite before worked ok then next day no power light or power.

I would first check to see if there is 115 AC volts at the main connection. If no voltage then check your fuse box for a tripped breaker. If there is 115 volts at main connection the lid switch may be the problem.

I'm installing a 40A 2-pole CH GFCI breaker in a Square-D panel that is supplying a hot tub. The 8-3 cable runs to a sub-panel beneath in the crawl space beneath the tub. The new GFCI trips immediately...

Try this...

You mentioned a 8-3 cable suppling power to the sub-panel. I am assuming you have a 8-3 WITH ground or 4 conductors, black, red, white AND ground.

In the sub-panel do not bond the neutral bar to the box or ground bar. If there is a green bonding screw on the neutral bar...remove it. If you have only one (1) neutral bar add another bar for your grounds and bond this bar to the box. Keep the neutrals isolated from the grounds.

I hope this has helped. If you need additional information please send me a follow-question.

Noise from tv

I had the same problem with a 5065. I purchased and installed a new color wheel and that solved the noise problem. The color wheel has a bearing that gets "dry", and when it fails it does sound like a fan bearing.
