1.) Look at the large square retangular chip on around center of sound board
2.) write down the number (use magnifing glasss)
3.) google search drivers for "place number of chip in here"

I installed ubuntu 9.04 and i am experiencing a sound problem. What should i do to make sound come out?

What you need is a sound driver for your PC.You need three pieces of information to download the sound driver.
  1. The operating system you are using in your case it is "Ubuntu 9.04"
  2. The second thing you need is the name of your Hardware Manufacturer of your sound card or if you have the sound card built-in to the mother board than you need its vendor name.
  3. The model number of your sound card or the model number of the mother board.
Take these pieces of information and put it in to a good search engine like Google.com, Bing.com or Yahoo.com etc. You will see many links where you can download the appropriate sound driver to install in your PC to have sound.

Good Luck!

Where we can find the intel id number in the mother board?

On the board
  • Turn off your computer and unplug the power cord. Open the case and access the motherboard
  • Locate the peripheral slots, which are long, thin connectors that sound cards, video cards and ethernet cards plug into. (Such cards are made of the same circuit board material as the motherboard and will be sticking out of the board vertically.)
  • Look to the left of the last peripheral slot. There should be a identification number silk screened onto the motherboard itself. It may be abbreviated, in which case you will need to copy it down and search for it on Intel's website.

My problem is that i dont know how to download the sound device . I have MSI computer. But i dont know the type of my sound card .I will be grateful if you help me

If the sound card is in one of the slots you may just take it out and read the brand and model number right from the card. If the sould card is part of the mother board it will not be in one of the slots but be part of the board itself . If that is the case go to the MSI site type in the model number and download the drivers and sound from them or loook up what kind of sound and go to thheir web site.  Any more questions as I know this is not such a complet answer , please write me back.

Sound output is veryless in msi pvpm4 motherboard

Hi, having used MSI boards myself I found their website very useful. Open your case, locate and right down your board serial number and revision number, Logon to the website [Google MSI] go to downloads. and locate the latest audio drivers for your board. This should fix the problem, if not then you have a failure on the onboard sound. At boot up go to bios and disable onboard sound. Install a PCI sound card with drivers and that will then give you sound again. Regards mistyman
