Question about Bosch Washing Machines

1 Answer

I am looking at buying a second hand (2002) Bosch Maxx frontloading washing machine. The advertisement says that it keeps turning off before the cycle finishes. Can you tell me whether this is likely to be an expensive problem to fix? (I live in NZ).

It will be the e.c.u. that will need to be replaced as this is a problem with this brand of machine, possibly $150.00 for the board plus any labor per hour that your area charges. thank you and please rate this answer if it helps you

Bosch maxx Classic. 7 yo. Washing cycles are not finishing. Timer is showing 1 but does not turn off. Clothes are still quite wet. Have cleaned filter. Anything else I can do?

Looks like the solenoid that controls the drain motor is malfunctioning.
Whenever this happens, the water does not get drained fully and remains in the chamber thus keeping the clothes still wet.
Speak to your local service representative and get the part replaced.

look carefully at operating buttons they will have 2 marked with a line with dots at either end, open door press and hold these 2 buttons usually 2 and 4 as from left too right, turn on keeping fingers on these buttons after a few seconds end light will come on turn off at main switch then back on again should work after that.

Front load washing machine would not spin now won't wash either.

Sounds like you have a broken belt or a bad motor. The easiest way to tell if the belt is bad is to reach inside the drum and turn it. If it turns very easily, you probably have a bad belt or something has caused the belt to jump off, such a s a loose pulley or bad bearing. If it feels like there is a good amount of resistance, or a kind of "winding up" noise, then the belt is still on and you likely have a bad motor. Also, you could just scoot the macine out, unplug it, and remove the back cover a look inside to see if the belt is still on the pulleys. Good Luck!
