Can't get the hard drive out of the 8570 C Medallion HP

I can't find a manual that describes how to get the hard drive out of the computer. It has two screws on the outside. There must be screws on the inside connecting the hard drive to a fitting. Does the whole cage come out? How?
Thanks
Wes

Depending on the PC, the cage may have to be removed. I assume you have already removed the power connection and other connections to the back of the drive. But, as melnavz said, it is necessary to determine the computer model first.

For your HP Pavillion 8570C, follow this link and it will give instructions with diagrams. I could tell you how to do it nut it's much easier to read these and see the diagrams. Hope this helps. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bph05032&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=58698&lang=en

What does error code 91,721.00:1039 on Xerox ColorQube 8570 mean

The error is a printhead tilt fault. It's unable to tilt on the axis, caused by a fault camshaft and process motor. The part you need to fix it is 8570-Z1.

Hello
Make sure no external device is plugged in like a USB ,network cable device.
It could also be a bad hard disk remove it and try and see if the computer will boot past the HP logo ,here is the user manual on page 99 it describes how to remove the disk:
http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00384165/c00384165.pdf

If it boots properly without the hard drive then it will have to be replaced.
Good Luck

I have a HP Touchsmart 610 and want to copy a DVD (not copyrighted) into my computer and make copies. Is the info in a manual, and if so how do I find the correct manual online? Thanks, Jim

You'll find the manual on the HP support web site:-

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&contentType=SupportManual&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=5039931&docIndexId=64255&printver=true

If this url doesn't work just google hp touchsmart 610 maual.

To copy a dvd to your hard drive for future copies is essentially as described here:-

http://www.magicdvdripper.com/copy-dvd-playback.htm

The software is different but the essentials are the same.

HP 8570 C Medalion hard disk removal

The side panel of the case should be removable to gain access to the screws. I have also seen versions that the card cage itself is on a hinge, and swings out of the case (with the removal of a few screws) that then gives access to the drive screws.
