Question about PC Desktops
I can't find a manual that describes how to get the hard drive out of the computer. It has two screws on the outside. There must be screws on the inside connecting the hard drive to a fitting. Does the whole cage come out? How?
For your HP Pavillion 8570C, follow this link and it will give instructions with diagrams. I could tell you how to do it nut it's much easier to read these and see the diagrams. Hope this helps. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bph05032&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=58698&lang=en

Tips for a great answer:
Shut down the power to your HP Slimline computer.
Remove any memory cards or other devices from the desktop.
Disconnect the power cord and peripheral devices from the computer.
Lay the computer flat on your work surface.
Remove the three screws on the rear of the computer cover with a Phillips screwdriver.
Slide the cover toward the back of the computer then lift it off the tower.
Set the cover aside.
Raise the wire latch in front of the hard drive mounting area.
Pull the cables straight out of the connections to disconnect them from the hard drive. Unscrew the retaining screw in the side of the mounting tray with a Phillips screwdriver.
Grab the tab on the hard drive tray and slide it back out of the mounting area. Remove the screws that secure the hard drive to the tray with a Phillips screwdriver.
There are four screws, one on each corner.
Slide the hard drive out of the tray.

Why not download a new book?
If you were to log on to the hp.com web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as
usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer
Instruction Manuals, list
for spare parts and service, Driver
This is the best way of ensuring up to
date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!
I hope this helps.
