Re: toucan incompatible with vista help!!!
Unfortunately no drivers = no dice. short of programming your own, or finding someone here that counts as a whole dev team, you're out of luck. Your best bet would be to buy a cheap webcam that's vista compatible, and try and get some cash out of that one on e-bay.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

if its vista or windows 7 click on start then on the trianlge on the bottom right of the box that comes up then you will see the turn of selection other wise i would suggest a system restore to a date when your pc was working properly to do this select start then all programmes then accessories then system tools then system restore and follow on screen instructions to restore to a date when your pc was working propery..from my own expierence id say its a virus or an incompatible programme..hope this helps best of luck
You need to go to the manufactures site and download the VISTA
driver for the camera. Then follow the info below to install
Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall
the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you
to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
If your new computer's operating system is Windows Vista, the driver for the Samsung Digimax D53 is incompatible. If you have W98, then you should just be able to plug and play your camera to your computer or download the driver from www.samsungcamera.com
I have the same camera and use vista without a problem. However I use the firewire interface and not the USB which might be the explanation.
By the way, I can't find my manual. The date and time don't stay saved for any length of time between use. Is there a baterry that need to be changed and if so where is it?
