SOURCE: Polaris 380 wheels not moving

Here are some things to check: 1.  There are belts inside the unit that drive the wheels.  These belts often fail (shred) and must be replaced. 2.  There is a paddlewheel that drives the turbine that turns the wheels.  If the jet that drives the turbine is clogged, then the paddlewheel will not move and the wheels will not turn. 3.  There is a water management system inside the bottom of the unit.  It looks like a bunch of little hoses.  If one of these hoses comes loose, then the water pressure will escape inside the unit and will not be sufficient to drive the wheels.
Hope this helps

If the wheels are spinning independently you have broken drive belts. The hose swivels are leaking also which could lower the pressure to the head.

SOURCE: My polaris 380 wheels won't turn. the belt is

If the wheels don't turn there may be sand in the notches on the wheels, the notches may be worn off, if their is sand or dirt in the paddel wheel jet that will keep the unit from turning and again no wheel movement. All of these problems they can check in your local pool store. Stores will generely check your unit out and fix what is needed for just the price of parts to fix it when you bring it into the store.
If you have no water flow to the unit this will also stop things from working so be sure to check your finger screen before you do anything.

SOURCE: My 4-year old polaris 380 frequently blows

Once you fix the immediate problem with zip ties, check the wheel RPM. It should be between the range of 28 to 32.To check the RPM Hold the cleaner completely under the water and count the wheel revolutions for one minute. If your RPM is to high, you can adjust it at the wall with pressure relief valve by unscrwing it. Im willing to bet your pressure is excessive. There are a few things to check with these pool cleaners. Make sure the opening at the end of the sweep hose is not blocked by the sweep hose scrubber. If you have any sweep hose weights, you might need to remove or adjust them.

Which pressure should i use on uwf polaris assembly 380

It might not be your booster pump. First, check the filter screen and clean if necessary. Often, this is the only problem when these pool cleaners are having problems. Clean the skimmer, pump, and filter also. You will also want to check all connections and hoses to make sure that you don't have a leak.
