Question about Husqvarna Huskylock Computerized 936

1 Answer

Huskylock 936 is making an irritating chatter noise. Stitches are fine but moving by hand the wheel seems stiff. Got from dealer used and long drive away like this and not sure if it is normal. Something seems to be rubbing somewhere could belt tension be too tight? Have oiled in right places and cleaned, checked all needles and only use the auto feature.

Sounds like maybe its to do with the loopers hitting in the bottom,go to the manual and make sure that you have not moved the coverstitch lever..also, do you have the right bottom plate on for the stich your trying to do?

How to fix a broken Needle clamp on viking 936

I don't know of a way to repair the needle clamp. It will more than likely have to be replaced. The local authorized husqvarna viking dealer should be able to service the machine. You can find the nearest dealer from husqvarna viking website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Huskylock 936 will not form a 4-thread overlock stitch

It may be difficult to solve a computer controlled machine with as many options as the 936 serger. Stepper motors control many of the functions. You can check out this video I made 4 years ago to get an idea of where to look.

I will like to know the difference beetwen Husqvarna Viking Huskylock 936 Serger sewing Machine and the 1001L. THank you. Huguette

Both machines are very close as to what stitches/functions they do. However the 1001 is older and way past the 5 year warranty period which makes getting parts more difficult. If I had to choose between the two, the 936 wins hand down!

States Overloaded. What does that mean?

The shaft is getting stiff and motor can't turn it. Try taking the bottom off and cleaning the fuzz out. Use alittle oil on all of the joints.

Needles hit the arm when stitching

Make sure you have completed all the steps to convert to cover stitch. There is a "clutch" to move from S to C for coverstitch that is located on the inside front of the machine where you thread the lower loopers. Make sure you have "locked down" the looper as instructed. There is a VHS and a DVD available from the Husqvarna Viking dealer. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

Good luck.

Huskylock 936 error code

This will also occur if the "needles" and "loopers" lock up as though threads are tangled and binding the machine. If needles and loopers move freely when manually turning the handwheel counter clockwise, you probably need to take it to an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for service. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

Good luck.

Sounds like either the loopers need adjusting or there is a twist in the needle bar. These are all things that have to be done by a certified husqvarna viking service technician via an authorized HV dealer. Huskylock 936

If your machine is hard to turn you need to look for threads which are bunched up around moving parts or it needs oil badly. This, combined with skipping stitches, indicates a need for a technician to adjust the timing and generally service the machine.
