This has to be set from the wizard for the printing job ...look for the edges size..but when you print on paper ..something like a full size A4 image ...it will always leave a 5 mm edge as default setting ..But like I said..initiate printing ..and in that wizard set the edge to 0 or ..click to remove edge if it is possible..anyway if it is possible there is the only location where you can change it ...and I'm not sure if it can be done permanently

HP 1300 -- toner is smudged along the left edge after crinkly sound

Hi:

This is a common problem with some HP printers. The fuser sleeve inside the fuser assembly gets torn along the edge and print can no longer be fused in that area and the paper will crinkle there. The only solution would be to replace the fuser, which for that printer it would not be worth repairing.

How do I change the left margin on the printer? I have an internet app that sends the document and I'm unable to change the margins in the internet app.

That's why they are called margins.
You can't print to the edge of the page. The printer physically can't.
Have you tried printing landscape? The other thing to do is set "scaling". That will cause the printer to shrink the page slightly to fit your paper size.

There was bits of paper, from a stuck edge from a sheet of business cards that I think are perhaps still in the printer. When I print a colour sheet the alignment is off, printing black and white seems OK.

What do you mean by alignment?
If you mean that the colours are misaligned, run a full calibration. Repeat it three times and then try your printing.
If bits of the business cards were left in the printer - it should affect the colour printing as well as B + W. You would also be getting paper jams.

When trying to print Avery Labels L7160 the top few labels print within each label 'frame' BUT towards the end of the page the labels are printed further up and therefore are out of the label 'frames' ALSO...

For Word 2007/Word 2010
1- Click on the Office button
2- Select Print then Print again.
3- In the Zoom section make sure 'Scale to paper size' is set to 'A4'
4- Click on the Properties button.
5- Click on the Paper / Quality tab, then click on Advanced.
6- In the Paper/ Output section it has Paper size. To the right you have a drop down menu . Make sure A4 is selected and not letter, then click on OK.

3- There may also be other options in your printing preferences such as 'Print Area', 'Scale to Fit Page Size' or 'Page Margins. These will all need to be set correctly for your design to print 100% e.g. Print Area set to Maximum, Scale to fit Page Size disabled and Page Margins set to Minimized.

Some printers ( for example Epson printers ) have a 'Reduce /Enlarge' facility that defaults to 94% or 97% (instead of 100%). To set this to 100% click the 'Layout' tab and in the 'Reduce/Enlarge' section select 'Custom' you should then be able to change the scaling to 100%.

Printing from InDesign CS3

even if you have the same document size and paper size the printer will not print exactly to edge to edge... so please select scale to fit and check the percentage of scaling if it is more than 95 then your document should look as big as it is desired

I want to change my printer settings to print on the full page, not have these 5mm margins all the way round. can someone help? I have a Kyocera FSC5015N

It sounds like you want to print what is called "full bleed" which means that you print from one edge of the paper to the other edge with no margin. Unfortunately your printer can't do this. It is a limitation of the design of the printer that is common to most laser printers. You have two options, either print with the 5mm margin all the way around and trim the paper or get a printer that has a "full bleed" option.
