Refurb HP Laserjet 4100. When we use OEM cartridges we get a repeating image, but this does NOT happen with a refilled cartridge. Suggestions?

turn on/off, unplug, wait a minute, plug back in, should reset.
take all paper out. check to see if any paper is jammed in the rollers
go to application folder for your computer, dbl click icon for make of printer, for settings, check to ensure everything is order.
lastly, check make of printer trouble shooting web site for more information. hp has an awesome site for trouble shooting printing issues
hope this helps, good luck.

Hp cm 6040f half tone calibration error

Reset the NVRAM, HP support and google the procedure. Also, may be physical defect from the printer:
- Fuser
- All cartridges
The only other parts involved with imaging would be the laser itself, or some kind of power problem where the laser isnt getting charged enough. You could try plugging it into a different wall outlet without a surge protector to confirm power source problems.
The imaging drums should all be included in the toner cartridges. They should have been ruled out when you swapped them before, its also unlikely all 4 drums would go bad at the same time.
Also, are you using refills or OEM cartridges? It shouldn't matter but refills/refurbs can have some strange defects. If you have a spare teh same model of printer lying around you could swap the cartridges out from a working machine and see if the problem travels with the cartridges or not.
Regards, Mike

How to fix hp 4100tn very light printing

Try a new cartridge first if you have not done that. Keep in mind that many third party, refilled or reman cartridges do not produce the same toner density as OEM HP cartridges. If a different cartridge does not produce better results then you either have an issue with the transfer roller, power supply or dirt on the laser scanner lens. If the inside of the printer is relatively clean you can rule out the scanner lens in most cases. 9 times out of 10 it is cartridge problem.

Supply memory error color

A "supply memory" error is usually caused by a bad toner cartridge. Each cartridge has a chip that is read by the printer.
Try reseating the cartridges.
Did the error occur after you swapped out a cartridge?

Not printing magenta

Have you tried another printer cartridge? If you're refilling or using refilled cartridges, you may have a bad cartridge or the roller that holds the laser image is damaged.

The other possibility is there are problems with the toner cartridge contacts. Remove the cartridge and clean the contacts and cartridge with a clean dry cloth.

My printer won't print---I just had the black ink cartridege refilled but it keeps saying replace supplies

Return the cartridge and use only genuine supplies with HP. HP cartridges have chips on them that dictate if they are OEM or not. Typically, if you use a refiller , these chips won't get reset.

HP Laserjet 1022

Have you refilled the toner cartridge or is it refill as when these toner cartridges are refilled they have a tendency to leak. I suggest to remove toner cartridge turn the machine off vacuum out the inside and replace the toner cartridge with a new original. Run 20-30 prints through to get rid of any other loose toner and then should be fine.

If printing doesn't improve then repeat process if still same problem suggest transfer roller to be changed.

Hope this helps
Thanks J
