Open Question

No picture I turned on t.v. and no picture. The stand by light at bottom of t.v. now flashes all the time. I know that my v.c.r. does this and when I unplug it it resets it self the t.v. won't.

A reset won't fix this. The standby light should be blinking a repeated count with a 3 second pause inbetween. Post that count here. That will indicate the circuit/condition that is preventing the set from turning on.

Thanks,
Dan

SOURCE: Stand by light flashes 5 times

It seems to be that you ballast is losing its energy, that means it can't keep up with your lamp, because it's one in charge of lighting up the bulb so the image can be projected on your screen. You will need to replace it to solve this issue. Hope this is some help for you. :)

Unplug the tv, take the back off, locate the G board, next look for D 6301,and D 6116,these are diodes, desolder them and replace them,if that didnot fix it,then change the switching regulator also, its also on G board..use a desoldering iron to remove parts, then wick wire to get the access solder off the pin holes to resolder parts.hope this helps.....

Sony Bravia KDL 46", no picture, standby light blinks 4 times

Since the TV is still receiving power, the problem is going to be with the TV's mainboard.  After you unplugged the TV and plugged it back in, you said the power light went out again, so I assume the standby light wasn't flashing again?  The flashing standby light is indicating an error code so my suggestion is to contact Sony for service options regardless if there is a warranty or not because service is the only solution to this situation.  Don't forget to provide them the error code or 4 flashes repeating.

Tv tunrns on then goes to stand by flashes 4 times & repeats

turn tv on picture comes up 2to3 seconds later tv blacks out then stand by red light flashes 4 times in a row repeatedly..can not turn on or off when stand by light starts flashing but before tv blacks out you can turn tv on and off repeatedly and picture and sound work. You have to unplug power cord for 30 seconds after stand by light comes on to get tv to turn on.

Sony tv repair

I own a Sony T.V. model #KV36HS510, Serial # 9024184,Event# E36002407 and it"s aTrinitron brand name. Like the problems before no picture or sound, stand by light on front of unit flashes. When trying to turn it back on you can hear the power click, like it wants to turn on, but does not.
