Print keeps fading, even though using new ink

check your printer settings, make sure color only is not checked off, or if you mainly print black and white documents, you should have that option checked, you may have to go into advance printer options to do this.

My HP Officejet 6210 All-in-One keeps rejecting my color cartriges. I am willing to just print in Black, but it blocks all print jobs. Any ideas on how to by-pass the color cartrige block?

uninstall the software by going into add/remove programs. Then look at the color cartridge and make sure its an original HP cartridge and not one of the 3rd party type of color cartridges. Try to use originals if you can so you don't run into the printer rejecting them.

With the operating system clean of the software go thru the steps in this guide to make sure everything is being installed properly:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00238458.pdf

This will make sure that the cartridges are installed and that the software is being reinstalled so nothing is corrupted.

If the printer is still blocking print jobs or rejecting cartridges then you know that its either a printhead problem or a main board issue, either way you would have to get the printer replaced.

i've fixed a simular issue recently, it could be your print head has developed a issue\blockage for the nossles for the black ink tank, it could be mixing colours from word but a black white copy will just use the black ink, try removing the head and using isopropol on a qtip to clean the head for the black only.......

Black Cartridge

Hi - If you are saying that the right side cartridge is the black cartrige that you have replaced, then I have two suggestions that may help. If the cartrige is a new HP genuine product I would take it back. If not, I would return the cartrige you have and buy a genuine HP for the printer. Though an expensive solution, there is always a chance of defects from either party. The remanufactured or refilled cartrige will have a date on it. The circuit board on these can wear out and then not be recognizable over time. Second suggestion if you have not already done this, a cotton swab or Q tip dipped in distilled water(damp only) to wipe down the circut board on the printer where the cartrige will connect to it, may help. Turn off the printer to do this. Make sure it is dry when you turn it on and reinstall the new cartrige. Hope this helps.

Trying to put back in the color ink cartridge for 6210

The printers are bad about damaging the ribbon cable inside the print cartridge when you replace the ink cartridge. There is a small wire spring that gets pushed through the cable rendering the printer useless. Poor design by HP. How do I know? I did it to mine. It's cheaper to buy a new one then to have it repaired.

Color won't print! Test shows continuity.

I stand corrected, but this sounds strange. The black cartrige on a 650c is a no40, the colors are No50. It is impossible to place a color cartrige in the black posotion. You must remove all your cartriges and wipe them off at the bottom with a very hot wet cloth (not boiling) Let them stand on the wet cloth for quite some time and then give them a good shake (dont be shy). Be VERY careful not to get ink on your clothes or nearby objects. Once you have done this wipe them down again with a dry lint free cloth or tissue paper and try again.

Error check ink cartridge

Hi ,

As per the information provided by you it seems to be a hardware issue however u cvan try these steps .

Steps >

Take out the ink cartridges from the printer > without turning off the printer unplug the power cord > press # and 6 key together , now without releasing the keys plug in the power cord .

keep on holding the keys down until the machine turns off automatically .

after the unit turns on again it would do the allignment give a msg for insert ink cartridges . insert the cartridges at that time . and see how it works out .

Thanks
