The problem was I did't configure the exposure correctly for work in manual mode
I mean I set the aperture and speeds correctly so that the camera is able to take a good picture For example I try to set the speed at 125th of a sec. and the aperture at f8. So now I can take good pictures.
thanks.

Why Fuji Finepix XP20 won't take photos?

Check the settings of the camera. Put the recording mode for stills (photos) to auto, so the setting can't stop the camera from taking a picture. If you are in one of the manual modes, and the system calculates it won't be possible to make a picture (to dark, to light, or out of focus and so on) it won't react when you press the shutter release button.
Please use the manual, so you will be able to solve this every time it happens to you. The manual is still online.

Need help taking action pictures with fujifilm finepix s2940.. any idea on what setting should the dial be?

If you are getting bad results from the SRAuto mode, select the SP mode. Then press MENU/OK Use the Up/Down selector to highlight Scene Position. Select the Sport Scene Position (icon of person running). Then press MENU/OK to select. This will remain the default setting each time you use the SP mode until you change it again.

How do i take a black and white and sepia photo on olympus SP800UZ

The SP 800UZ doesn't have a black-and-white or sepia mode. You can convert a color picture to black-and-white or sepia by editing the picture on the camera. Full details are in the "Edit" section of the manual (page 38 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at
http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/oima_cckb/SP-800UZ_Instruction_Manual_EN.pdf

In general, you're better off converting to black-and-white or sepia using photo editing software on a computer rather than doing it on the camera. The computer will give you much better control over things like brightness and contrast.

When i take picture, the picture is white n some time become very very bright, but if take video is ok.

this can be usually associated with your white balance in still camera mode.
Check to see your white balance is set correctly or just set it to auto. Also make sure the mode you are in it set. (ie. indoor, outdoor, auto, speed)

My Fuji Finepix s5700 saves photos far too large. How can I change this please? Thank you for your help.

Press "F" for about half a second to bring up the F-Mode menu. Use cursor-up/down to select "QUALITY" and press cursor-right. Change the setting as desired.

Full details are in the the "Using the F-MODE MENU (Photography)/SHOOTING MENU" section of the manual (page 75 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one at

Fuji FinePix A510, DPC-256 memory, card not initialized msg

I had to re-format the card losing all the photos but I had saved them in iPhoto so that was ok. I think the problem was caused by me incorrectly closing down after downloading them to iPhoto, so my fault and lesson learned.

FinePix F470 Lines on images and faded colors on photo mode.

You have over exposed pictures due to the shutter sticking.
The video is the clue to the problem. It doesn't use the shutter.
Shutter needs to be cleaned. This is no easy task im afraid

Not good photos indoors very grainy and bad light looking photos

Auto mode in poor lighting (generally always indoors without flash) sets high ISO, which produces ugly amount of noise (graininess). What you need is to keep the ISO under 200 by either:
Shooting well lit scenes, using flash etc.
or
Uusing one of the manual programs (M, S, A, P) and setting the sensitivity via the F-menu.
