Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: I have an Onkyo AV receiver model TX-NR509 and the internet radio stopped working. I have a good internet connection. How do I fix this?

I see on Onkyo's website that the iMerge service was discontinued in late 2008, Stating that:
"the selection of Internet Radio stations available through Net-Tune will decrease and eventually will cease."
You may want get on the Onkyo website and see what services are available for that receiver.

Receives,no Tx

Many possibilities:
1: The radio took a hit and broke the PCB or the connection to the RF out jack.
2: Some other PCB joint failure
3: The RF output IC is toast
4: The driver is toast
5: The tx oscillator is so far out of whack it cannot develop the frequency it is set to.
6: You have a bad cable or antenna connector
7: You have a bad battery, battery contact or power connection
8: You have a power supply or other problem

My tx-nr905 recievers output audio goes out when connected to my projector and a dvd player, but its ok with any other output combo; proj/sat or tv/dvd or tv/sat etc..... bought new about 4 yrs ago, has...

Semantics maybe, but sources are INputs. OUTputs are speakers, audio to other devices.

A DVD is always an INPUT.

So what's different? IOW, how are the DVD and Projector (Really? It uses a video OUTput) connected for audio? Have you looked at the manuals? Digital sources must be assigned, for example.

No sound from front channels under all sound modes. All wiring looks to be in tact.

Check to see if the speakers "A" are selected.
Look in the upper left corner of the display screen for something that says a or b. Let me know what it says.
See the manual here @ page 11 box 3 for more info.

HT-1000 has low Tx audio and programmed PL doesn't

While there are some adjustments which can be made in the RSS, doing so would not necessarily solve your problem, as it may create another. These setting would require the radio to be adjusted by a service tech using a service monitor. Your PL problem may simply be a programming issue. Double check the PL setting in the radio, also check to see if it is to be inverted or standard PL. If your radio is Transmitting low to other units, you could also be mixing narrowband and wideband radios. If so, one will talk softly to the other, while the opposing radio will be very loud talking back (among other things). And one other simple thing to check when having Tx issues is the antenna. Be certain you are using the correct antenna, the antenna is free of dry cracks or damage; and the antenna is attached properly.

After checking all the above, if you do not solve the problem, contact your local dealer or service center.

Best regards.

Receiver will not recognize a 5.1 input

Have you selected the digital input through the audio setup? You can assign different digital inputs to various video inputs and this may solve the issue

Onkyo TX-NR905 Protection Circuit Activated

The problem is not with the inputs. This unit is in protect because a problem has been detected in the output section. Try disconnecting the speaker wires and turning it on. If the unit remains on, there is a short in one of the speaker wires. If the unit still shuts down, there is an internal problem that will require repair. It sounds like this is a new piece. If so, it should be covered under warranty.

Keep us posted,

Wrong valtage

I am not sure what your question is but if you purchased the U.S. version and it is 110V and you are somewhere where there are 220V, you will need to purchase a stepdown transformer for it to work properly.
