Hi, okielvis. If you dont know it you have to RESET the router to the factory defaults.
Disconnect your router. Take a paper clip, or something sharp, and insert it into the little reset hole in the back of the router. Then while pressing the reset button THEN connect the power cable again but keep the reset button for 10 secons and then go to http://192.168.1.1. The default username/password is admin/admin. Then you will have to reconfigure your settings. I hope this helps.
In case you get the update firmware page, you'll have to do the process again but this time hold it for 15 seconds.
Don't forget to rate and give possitive feedback for your free support today. Thank you :D

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Log in to the router. Open a browser and type in your Ip address to the router and the login password. (They should be on the label on bottom of router. )(NOT THE WIFI PASSWORD) once inside you can change the WiFi password.

Changining my wifi passphrase

connect your pc to the router with ethernet cable.
open web browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 (if this doesn't work try 192.168.1.2)
you should get your router's home page.
when asked for user and password type admin for both.
if that doesn't work try admin and password
go through settings to where the password is and change it.
save the changes and you're done.

Why can't I get my tablet PC to connect with my new Linksys Wireless-N Home Router?

Hello, Try troubleshooting:1) Does it have a password on your router?2) If so remove password and try connecting to it
Some electronics cant work to connect to WiFi if its protected by a tough security such as WPA2-TKIP.

WiFi not connecting to cisco router

most likely the Palm "listens" on another frequency.

Make sure your cisco is running the Wireless b standard as that is what the Palm Tx needs.

Mixed mode is another option (b and G at the same time)

Let's say your router is supporting the b standard. Knowing the cisco APs a bit, it is also possible to have a channel selected that an older device cannot see/or it is set for another region (which in fact is the same, as frequency ranges are different for each continent).

There are many tools for WIFI analysis, many are free. They will tell you what your router is transmitting at, etc... withouth having to go into the cisco IOS.
