Question about Dryers

When i turn it on it only dries for 2 or less minutes. then after it makes this buzz sound how it would when it stopped.

That growl is the motor bearing. The replacement is not difficult. The blower is reversed threads. I have repair photos HERE

The washer is an 18 pound (dry weight) capacity

Whirlpool dryer makes buzzing sound when flame should start.


Sounds like the valve is trying to open and the buzzing is the restriction of it opening. Coil is obviously correct, but actual solonoid is sticking. Replace it and see. If flame isnt detected, it will stop.

General Electric Heavy Duty Dryer willnot start when start button


WARNING: High Voltage may bzzt you... careful.

Your dryer thinks that it is at the end of a dry cycle.

First thing to do is disconect the dryer from the 220v mains and let it sit for about 10 min.

then, spin the timer four or five times around and then stop it at a TIMED dry cycle, not an automatic cycle. (example: 60 minutes).

Plug unit back into the wall.

SLAM door on unit and press button again...

Maybe something fell down into the filter housing. Get the back off and inspect it with the power disconnected.
