Hi, what makes the earpiece not working, is that the wire inside the speaker area where you put inside the ear is faulty.

Loose the head of that small speaker, you will see the wire that has removed, use a soldering iron and a lead to fix it back. After fixing back, you can start using it again.

have a nice day.

I love my SA-PM 18, but my playback has started skipping and repeating. It is not the discs. Is there anyway I can clean this, or have it cleaned?

take an ear sward dip it in an alcoholic solvent ( make sure is not dripping) then wipe the lense. if it doesn't work replace with the same lens type from a local electronics store.... how evwer you can get an equivalent will work just as fine .

How much pressure on the needle

This depends on the cartridge. Most cartridges specify this, so you can search online for the specifications of the cartridge you use. Or you can do it by ear. Set the weight to start at 2 grams. and adjust it a bit at a time, testing to see if it sounds right. It should not be light that the stylus skips out of the grooves, nor to heavy to rumble.

One of my headphones only makes noise when pressed on with force

Sounds like the conductive cable is about to go bye-bye.

My previous in-ear started to behave like this after about a year and a half of use.At first,if I pressed or moved its body around may solved it.But about a week later, the right ear went completely silent regardless how I fussed on it.

If the symptom gets worse and worse as time goes by,you'd better look for the new earphones.

A folder shows up on startup and notice to contact apple support. 20gb 4th gen

try to bring it close to your ear an try to hear. See if you can listen to clicking sound. if it does click, your in trouble as your hdd is messed up..
nothing much you can do about it, just when its trying to start and it starts clicking bang your ipod ( on ur palm ) as this would help the hdd needle to skip and bad sectors and might work again !
good luck.

I'm not getting any audio from my sansa e260

You have 3 soldered points inside. Two are soldered onto the mainboard just slide into the ear plug itself. One is actually soldered directly onto the mainboard. If you are very careful, you may be able to raise the ear plug enough to bend the two that slide into the plastic out just a little. This has worked for me before, but it takes a gentle touch..

You may have to re-solder the ear plug on the mainboard. I have had several off of ebay that I bought that needed to be soldered. Be very careful if you don't know what you are doing when re-soldering.
