I have the same problem. I live alone, came home one night and my dryer was beeping and all lights were flashing.

  • Shannon Jun 25, 2008

My dryer is doing the exact same thing. Originally, it would only do it a couple of times but now. it does it the entire time it is on. Its driving me crazy... I do alot of laundry and that makes for a lot of beeping.

Close..the lights come on the dry/presssaver etc row and flash/beep a few times, also the lights come on and it beeps when not using the dryer

Three beeps, light flashing throughout the load. It's driving me nuts too, only my model is a FEQB4000FSO.

  • swampgirl78 Sep 23, 2008

The three beeps and lights as well, only I just bough these. They seem to be closed into the space for my washer and dryer and I am wondering if it might be the heat or the vent line is to compacted.

  • Anonymous Jan 14, 2009

    I receive different beeping action,

sometimes I receive a series of 3 or 4 beeps and all lights on a flashing

This is so annoying. I won't buy another Frigidaire washer and dryer. They were the cheapest, but not the best. My washer makes an annoying buzz if it's not closed exactly right before starting.

I had the same problem: three beeps, and could not clear the flashing lights, even after I had cleaned the lint filter. I fixed the problem using tips from other contributers on this page - I unplugged the machine for several minutes, and unscrewed plastic framework supporting the lint trap. Sure enough, there was a tennis-ball sized pile of lint. I removed it, vacuumed out the area, plugged in the machine again, and it worked fine.

Mine has been beeping incessantly as well. Turned out that even though I was cleaning the filter after each load, there was still a ball of lint the size of a tennis ball that was blocking the lint sensor. To fix, I removed the screws from the plastic piece that holds the lint trap and slid it out (it won't come out entirely.) Then I used the mini attachments for my vacuum to remove the lint from the bottom of that space. Once I did that, the dryer has been working flawlessly.

This worked for me too... when I removed the plastic piece the inside was full of lint, triggering the sensor.

Did not work for me at first. After fully cleaning the lint out, it kept beeping in 3s. After running it for 5 minutes, the beeps went away.

Have you tried unplugging the dryer for a few minutes. It might make the computer reset. It seems to have helped with mine.

Mine was doing that constantly. The repairman told me to buy a new one because the circuit board has gone bad. Suggestion. Buy another brand.

Frigidaire electric dryer (FEQ1442CES) keep flashing and beeping even after cleaning lint filter.

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire dryer, model# FEQ1442ES, keeps beeping and flashing lights. I also see that you have cleaned all the lint out and your appliance will not run more than about 10 seconds. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance, determine what is causing the lights to flash and the beeping, and repair your dryer. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Hi Celine, I just experienced the same exact problem. I came here looking for a solution. I got mine to stop by holding down the cycle signal button for 3 seconds, releasing it for three seconds, and repeating until both lights (loud and soft) went off. Hope it helps.

Dryer keeps beeping

the beeping is an indication of a problem with the drier, you are going to need a reapir person to look at it, until the problem is fixed the beep will continue.

3 beep-tones

I am having this same problem, and it seems quite intermittant. I have finally narrowed it down to an electrical issue, somewhere on the control circuit board (which I have sitting in front of me right now.) I'm going to see if I can buy a new one, and for how much, before calling out the repairman.

My dryer keeps beeping after 30seconds of turning it on. I have pressed the 'LOCK' key to unlock & even then it still does the beeping thing! Could this be the motherboard packing up?

I had the same problem. My wife was about to take an axe to the darn thing. The frustrating thing was that it was beeping 3 times and the status lights were flashing. The manual only described 4 beeps (Dryer ran too long) or 6 beeps (Push button does not function). It finally dawned on me that it was beeping two sets of three beeps (i.e 6 beeps). The corrective action was to press buttons lightly and release. I pressed on every button first lightly then heavily with no success. I pounded on the instrument panel; still no luck. Finally I pressed the Options button and the Select button simultaneously for a second and heard a click. After that, no more beeping. According to the manual this activates a "LOCK' feature if you hold them down long enough. But in my case, the lock light flashed but didn't engage and after the beeping stopped, I left well enough alone.

Hope this helps.
