It is possible that you do not have the video format downloaded program within your PC. So check on the type of file that was downloaded and if the PLAYER FOR THIS FORMAT is downloaded and installed , you will be able to play.

When try to play a video it says file format not supported

Hello there.
Download Gom player http://www.gomlab.com/eng/GMP_download.html .It can play all the formats.
Even if there is format that Gom can not read it will ask you allow to Gom download and install it from web.

Hi. i'm using a gom player to play my videos but it doesn't play videos with .mov extensions. It constantly shows the "find codec" box. thank you.

open gom player and press F1 and select update it will be paly all media you need.

Gom Player can only play certain types of video files.
Try Using VLC Media player
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

It can play the majority of the various types of video files out there.

You can download the latest version of Media Player Classic (K-Lite Codec) FOR FREE
It will install all the required CODEC and you can play all audio - video files.

As you are unable to play your videos in GOMPLAYER, there are 2 wayouts for this

1>You can try a different player that would be free and can play possibly any formats

VLC PLAYER

You can download the player from the following link:

http://www.filehippo.com/download_vlc/

Or you can download a CODEC pack and try playing the video using the same player GOM

http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/

restart the system after installation

check the video file extn. try to download the codec or go to this link and download GOM PLAYER

Your GOM player might not be updated, or it simply doesn't support the format of the video that your playing. GOM playeer usually supports .3gp .mp4, etc ( usualy formats from cellphones ). Try downloading the FLV player, it usually supports alot of video formats.

How to play videos via GOM?

there is not a special way for it, you can drag & drop the selected video. But some video file types not work in GOM player, if do you want to play it then update the player with new Codec files

No sound coming from speakers. details below. ASUS PC...Windows 10...Analog connector for speakers...Drivers uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times...speaker hardware uninstalled and according to my os all of the drivers are up to date and the hardware is working properly.installed multiple times as well. It even gives me volume line showing that there is indeed sound coming from speakers. Only one problem...There is zero sound coming from speakers. Can someone please assist me with this.. I'd really enjoy hearing my games instead of only watching them.
