The belt will go around the motor pulley, idler pulley and also the drum (Idler pulley can be accessed in a compartment in the rear of the dryer). First take the tension off the belt by relieving the tension on the pulley and sliding the belt off of it. Next, you will need to get to the drum to get the belt off. This being the case you need to look for screws
you can find on the dryer
outer casing because you will need to remove the outer casing to get to
the drum. If you look for screw on the upper part just inside the door
many times the upper deck is on hinges and will tilt backward so you can
view the top of the drum with the belt on it. Remember how it came
apart; it goes back together in reverse manner.

Who replaced the belt? Check the wires to the drum sensor and make sure they are ok, if the drum was pulled out or forward too far, there is a set of contacts that have to be checked when putting it back to make sure they are ok.

Timing belt broke at about 55 miles per hour. do you think the valves are bent and what parts do I need to buy other than belt? Oh 2001 hyundai sonada with 2.6L motor. THANKS Jimmy

The 2.4l and 2.5l engines are interference engines, meaning it is highly likely that you bent your valves when your timing belt broke. Besides the timing belt, you may need a new belt tensioner and pulleys. I would replace the water pump too.

Trying to find out how old this unit is Not drying

The fd number will tell you date of manufacture.
eg FD 8506...the 85 means 2005 the 06 means June
FD7809 the 78 mean 1998 the 09 is Sept.
If the belts broken it will not dry the load.

Dryer drum stopped rotating, dryer blower continues to work.

The belt probably broke, and coincidentally happened while drying the shoes. The belt is easy to replace. Open the back and you'll probably see the belt laying on the bottom

Amana dlw330 washer belt urned & broke again

Had the same problem on a machine I worked on. Changed the belt... was burnt and broken. Second time I replaced the belt, I ran it through all of the cycles and listened to it on SPIN cycle.. Although it's spinning.. it's making an extremely LOUD noise... It's the Spin bearing that is gone out. When a load is put in, and in spin cycle, the bearing is oveloaded..(being dry).. and putting extreme pressure on the motor and belt. When the drum reaches a point where the bearing just won't spin, the belt stops, and spins on the motor pulley, wearing it through.. (And smoking a great deal).. until it breaks.. again. I believe the top "Spin bearing" is about 75.00 or so.. and a BEAR to replace. Hope this helps

Belt broke

There should be an access panel on the top side of the cleaner. Pry this open with a screw driver and this should get you access to the area where the belt can be changed.
