Money stuck in front load washing machine

I know it's my fault.. but i have washed a item of clothing that still had money in it. the money has now got stuck in the middle of the 2 tubs (i think) or something like that. I can hear the money in the washing machine. My problem is i know have to pay a few hundred dollars to get it fixed as they have to pull the whole machine apart. is there a easier solution. is the money safe to stay .. it's a maytag front loader.. not sure the name

  • monika75 Mar 28, 2008

I can hear it.. I know someone that had the same problem and it did so much damage it was unreappairable.. i don't want this to happen to me.. how long will it take to go through the pump..

when you say clean the pump do you mean the filter

  • monika75 Mar 28, 2008

thanks.. but i'm really to scared to do a load for it to get there.. i don't want to ruin my machine as this is not covered by warranty.

  • monika75 Mar 28, 2008

it worked.. problem fixed.. it spun it one way and nothing.. i spun it the other way and a 5c dropped into the machine.. Can you explain this by any chance.. why it didn't go into the filter and maybe you could answer another question. while investigating my problem i came across a lot of unhappy people with their maytags front loaders. one lady said she got maytag to buy hers back as they are no longer making this model and any parts for it. do you know if this is true

Which washing machine is better front load or top load?

Front load washing machines are better than top load money wise.

One advantage of a front loading washing machine is an increased capacity. Since there is no central agitator, the horizontally-oriented drum can hold at least 20 to 30% more clothing per load. For a large family, this could mean running only three loads in a front loading washing machine compared to five in a top loader. Fewer loads often translates to savings in utility bills and water usage.

Another advantage of a front loading washing machine is less water and detergent usage. A top loading washer must use enough water to cover the highest level of the clothes. A front loading washing machine, on the other hand, only uses enough water to cover approximately the lower third of the tub at most.

GE Washing machine model WCSE 416OB is making a loud noise when spinning and not fully wringing the water out of the clothes--what could be the problem?

I fyou have a well balaced load and it is not banging side to side or doing the wash machine dance then it is probably the trasnmission or coupler. IF you want to spend some money or lots of money to have it replaced it's up to you it wouldnt hurt to have a authorized techichian take a look at it. If it is and it is nt worth fixing then take a look at a front loader wash machine you cant go wrong with one of those as it gets more water out of your clothes which means less time int the drier and saves you allot of money.

Smelly clothes

It is because of the front loading door..
It seals shut - so after you do a load and shut it,, midew forms in certain areas..
Run a white load and use bleach..
After wash - (as all washes) leave the door open..
This might have to be repeted a few times - but it WILL go away..
Remeber to leave the door open after every load..

Have a nice day ;o)

Where is the pump on a whirlpool make washing machine?

remove the panel on the front bottom of your unit. it is the only panel you will see. Inside you will see a white pump unit with a cap that can be unscrewed. Once you remove it, water will drain all over so make sure you have something to catch it in and you will also get allot of junk out with the water. I found nails, money and other items when I cleaned mine out.

Elastic eating front load washer

Check the inside drum vanes. Sometimes the vanes may crack and grab certain items.Next check the front of the drum and tub for any loose items like wires from bras or curtains sometimes these may get stuck in the drum or vane and cause this problem. Also check your soap make sure there is not alot of suds this is my number one problem with these machines.H.E. soap is best but watch liquid tide it's been sudsing alot.

Can't get washer to finish spin cycle

I'm not familiar with this washer, but if there is water in the drum when it comes to the spin cycle chances are that it won't spin. The likely cause of water left in the drum would be that it is not emptying fast enough, so you might check the pump for a blockage, or if there is a filter check that for some obstruction like fluff, coins, or small items of clothing which can sometimes get drawn through from the drum. Kenmore Elite HE4T Washing Machine Diagnostic Test Didn't complete and clothes aren't spun as dry as in the past I have a Kenmore Elite HE4T washing machine and I noticed that recently it isn't getting all of the clothes completely dry from the final spin cycle. Thus, the dryer has to run through two cycles to get the clothes dry. I did a bunch of research and made sure there weren't any kinks or blockages in the drain lines; and opened up the bottom of the washer and cleaned out the drain cleanout. I found a few pennies, but everything seemed to be working ok. I ran a load and had the bottom open so that I could make sure the motor, drain and belt were all working properly. The drain does get the water out of the washer, so the clothes aren't sitting in water, they just don't seem to be spun as fast or as long as they used to. I always put it on the "extra high" spin setting no matter which type of load I run. So, I found a way to run the diagnostic test on the washer and it went through C0-C5 (the agitation step) and all worked great, until it wouldn't come out of C5 after at least 10 minutes and go thru C6-C8. I had to cancel the diagnostic test and hit the "drain and spin" button to get all of the water back out of the washer. BTW, the "drain and spin" seems to get the clothes a bit drier than when I have it run through the "normal" cycle with the "extra high" spin. If anyone has any other thoughts, I would really appreciate it. This unit is in a small space with the dryer attached so to take it out and do repairs is a pretty big hassle. It has had a new control board and two new fill valves in the 10+ years that I have owned it. Questions I have: 1.should I remove the entire drain pump to make sure there isn't anything lodged in it? 2. could it be the belt slipping slightly and keeping the spin from reaching its 1200 RPMs? 3. Anything else I may be missing???
