Need access to production menu on Hitachi 55HDS69. Replaced Main Digital Board and need to input correct size screen and model number.

As far as I can see the service menu doesn't provide access to screen size and model data. Need to change these values.

I already know how to get into the service menu. The service manual does not provide info on how to change the model number in the replacement digital board. Is this done through the service menu? If so, how? If not, is there a production menu? How do you access it?

Re INIT- On remote Press menu-menu-8- select go to memory INIT
hold cursor to the right untill screen becomes green then unplug TV.
This will reet it to correct size.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Blue screen is it the digital main or main with tuner board

Be sure you have your signal input hooked up correctly and with the proper input with the menu. Otherwise the problem is with the main board which has the tuner and all the connections. Do a model number search on Google, Ebay or shopjimmy.com for price and availibility.

TV power will turn on and off but no other buttons operate.

This is more than likely down to your main AV board, Open the back and look at the board that has the arial and scart sockets on it, Take the part number of it and Google or Ebay for a replacement.
This will solve your problem.
Hope this helps

Hitachi

Without the correct meters and equipment it can get exspensive replacing boards however it almost has to be located on the power filter or the power board. I would suggest the power board over the power filter.
