Hi, these Honeywell combination fan/limit controls are used for turning the fan on after the combustion changer reaches the factory setting on the round dial that you see when you remove the cover. The high limit will turn the fan on when it reaches this temperature, and off when the stat is satisfied. If the blower motor fails due to a burn out or short, it shuts the main burners down on the high limit setting. These controls can be removed and you can clean the probe which has a set of contacts at the end. Sometimes this will fix the problem. Check the settings on the dial to see if they are set right to come on, the time it takes between cycles, and the temperature they are set to shut off. This sounds as though you need to check your thermostats also. They could be a problem. You say electric heat, but then you are saying flames? If these limits have the manual fan button, make sure they are on auto. Long delays could also mean you have a dirty flame sensor located by the pilot. You can clean the metal tip with steel wool or fine sanding cloth. Short heating cycles may be your thermostats like I said before. You shouldn't have to replace the fan/limits as I told you what they control. These will cause a fan to run and not shut off after the stat is done, so check to see if they are dirty. Please keep me posted.

This heater sits for a year without use and now I can not turn it on. Does it have multi-button reset to turn it on again?

These types of plug in portable 1500 watt or less heaters use fusible links, limits, safetys etc some of which dont auto reset, many times failing due to one of these essentially non servicable components,I have several times taken these various defective heaters apart, rarely unless an older better built unit, have I seen fan motors fail, nor heat strips, 90% are some safetys/limit, the rest are the switch. unles you can bang or tap it to come on its through. I myself hack the heaters bypassing the failed part, often running them direct , no limit, fusible link or even switch, only to use them in situations where I wont sleep or leave the area, as there is zero safetys now! i do not recommend this to anyone except a technician, i have several motors and coils hanging by the cords running sans their plastic housings a naked heater, they work for years this way so clearly the limits/safetys are the weak pots on these units, by design I suspect.

Heater fan not working in a 1996 Chevy S-10

I looked at wiring diagrams at bbbindustries: the orange wire to the 20 amp htr fuse is direct from the ignition switch. You might check: that orange wire splices to the 10 amp brake fuse (fuse #12). check if that also has any voltage problems.
There are two black fusible links that supply power to the ignition switch. the fusible links come from the battery junction block.

Laars LX400P pool heater Hi Limit Switch light is on? ???Fix?

This indicator normally means that your water temperature in the pool heater exceeds the internal limit. The corrosion should not be causing this problem. Since the high temperatures can be dangerous, you will probably have to contact a pool professional to service the machine.
