Cant connect to our network

Alright, for some reason i cant connect to our home network...ive uninstalled the drivers once and then connected it back to the computer and restarted the computer putting the drivers back on and got on the network for only three minutes...the network currently has no security settings. ive also tried connecting to the network through windows and through the netgear install disk...im running windows xp. any other things i might try? eveyone else in the house is able to get on the network. this is very frustrating and ive really run the gambit on things i can do...this apparently started after i installed spybot seek and destroy. well two or three days after at least.

The light on the back of my adapter is green, but i cant connect to my network. something to do with my IP address. i don't understand as ive had it over a year but now all of a sudden it won't work

Hello,

The first thing that I would advise you to do is,

Uninstall the WiFi Adapter totally from the System first,

Then go to "scan for hardware changes",

This will bring up a prompt to install the new hardware found (Which is your Wifi Adapter).

After this, Press your Wifi button on the system and ensure that it is On, then Scan for wireless networks.

It should connect like that.

(In case you dont know how to uninstall the Adapter, Right-Click on my computer Icon, Properties, Device Manager, then select the Adapter under network adapters, and right click on it, then select uninstall.)

Hope this helps.

Goodluck

Won't connect to WiFi home network, keeps coming up with ünable to connect". My other laptop connects automatically

Go to device manager, network adapters, select your wifi adapter, right click then uninstall it. If you're with Vista, do not delete the drivers. Then when its gone, select action on device manager and scan for hardware changes. It will re install the wifi adapter back. Now try to reconnect back to your router, put in your security key and once connected, save it. When you boot it up again it should connect back automatically again.

Hope this helps.

One of two HP laptops connects to network but quit on Internet

did you play with your wireless router settings..?? When it is shown as unidentified, you have most probably set as hide network name . other computers may show up the name if you have saved the network settings on them at least once.

Drivers are fine as they are able to detect the network.

Unable to access internet through router netgear ga311

Try to remove the adapter to the computer. Uninstall and reinstall the driver before installing the adapter to the computer.

Note. if you got the same problem as before download the latest driver of the adapter then try to reinstall the driver again.

Wont connect ti internet

Same device as mine. and im on home hub aswell. Uninstall the drivers. Restart windows. Reinstall the drivers. Hopefully this should make a differance. Also when reinstalling. make sure the device is not plugged in until you finish installing drivers. And maybe put it into another usb when you are ready to try again. this is something good to try on older systems. or OS's.

Assuming you can't get it to run from the desktop icon, as long as the driver is installed which it should be, you don't need Belkin software to run your connection.

the easiest way in Vista is to go to control panel>network and sharing centre and see if network discovery is ticked green.

If not on top left of window is connect to a network, then see if your wireless connection is listed, if so click connect, if not at the bottom of the window, click set up a connection or network and follow the wizard.

Red light

Check that you have all the correct drivers installed, ie....for your ethernet. Look at the back of your pc at the yellow cable, if the light inside the connection isnt flashing, then your pc isnt recognizing your router and it most likely is a driver issue. Open the management console then device manager look for network adapters/controllers if you dont see any you dont have any and this is your problem. Install the correct drivers from your manufacturers web site and this should resolve the issue.
