Error code 1203

Hello

It means your cartridges overflow even from brand new cartridges after a several prints or right after you refilled the cartridges. Check to see if ink are smeared on the holder where the contact panel with the cartridge. I have the same problem which I think lexmark has to overlook in production.

Solution:
I use the Kleenex with a few drops of water to dampen and clean off those contact on the holder and my printer work again.
The refill ink work very well if you let it sit 24 hrs. Then before you print anything, you should run aligned the cartridges a couple times then run clean cartridges a couple times.
Print the test page to see how it's look and way you go.
Be sure not to leave any debris of Kleenex on those holder contact panel.

Best regards

Try to print but i get a messege that reads error 1203

Hi!

Error 1203 means that the cartridges have a bad circuit. Try another set and see if the error message is still there.
If the error message is still there then it means your cartridges overflow even if they are brand new or after a several prints. Check to see if ink is smeared on the holder where the panel contacts with the cartridges. Use the Kleenex with a few drops of water to dampen and clean off those contacts on the holder. Make sure that you don’t left any debris of Kleenex on holder contact panel. If the cartridges are refilled then it works very well if you let it sit for more than 2 hrs. Then before you print anything, you should run align and clean the cartridges a couple of times. Now print a test page to check whether the error message is gone.
Thanks for using FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Ink has run out message

Ink not made for your printer has risks. 20 years as Canon rep taught me this. Yields: are affected by resolution, type of paper, condition of print head, condition of ink jets, all ink jets and lasers are mfg'd under lisence to Canon. You have the best! Anytime supplies are cheaper, something is left out. used cartridges usualy leak air and drip ink ck for stains under print head. cartridge has used blotter also drips. Cheaper cartridges contain less ink, no free lunch. Fill it yourself 1 or 2 times and do it right. Put the printer in your shower for twenty minutes if you see excess leaked ink. Allow to air dry for a few days then install new cartridges. Run all the Nozzle checks and print head utilities. Touch nothing else on the inside. This will fix it or f@#%k it up for good

Ink is low unable to scan/fax

I had the same problem. I had just installed new black ink cartridge and had the same problem "CHECK INK" and alarm light is on. My color ink had just runned out. I was just about to go buy the color ink to see if it would fix the problem but decided to try it one more time. This is what to do..Click on the print command and a cannon message will pop up saying that you have no ink (it being the black or the color) then you will get the CHECK INK message all you have to do is PRESS the "Stop/ Reset" button for atleast 5 seconds and it will let you print..

Printer message is 'remove and check cartridge'. have done that and put in new cartridges but message stays. can print a test page but it will not print anything else

I assume something has happened during a print job and you are seeing this message on the 6110's control panel display. Either there's a "clog" in the flow of ink or an issue with the electrical contacts between the cartridge and the print carriage. Unfortunately, HP.com doesn't list this error message on the web page for 6110 errors.

You can go to the following web page and follow the instructions to clean the electrical contacts I mentioned. The problem you are seeing can also be caused by an incorrectly installed ink cartridge or one where the protective tape strip was not removed before installation.

The latter is likely if you see this error message right after you've put in a new ink cartridge. It's easy to put the cartridge in incorrectly or not to correctly latch it in place. It's also really common to forget to take the tape off before installing the cartridge.

Good luck and post back your results.

Check that your black ink cartridge has ink inside, eventually try a new cartridge , as ink may have dried up in old cartridge.
If you use a new cartridge ensure you removed cellotape from cartrige.
If cartridge is ok, then it is printer nozzle/head for black ink.
In this case do nozzle check / head cleaning in printer tools a couple of times.
If problem persist you may need to check and clean printer's head with cotton and solvent.
