Remove the spark plug and pull the engine through a number times to expel any accumulated fuel from the crankcase and cylinder. Hold the throttle wide open and choke off while doing this. Lay the spark plug on engine metal (wire attached) and check for spark--it should be blue and snappy. If the engine has a compression release, it may be plugged with carbon--clean or replace. Check the air cleaner and muffler for any plugging. With luck, this should get you running. Hope this helps!
