The GameBoy SP had a better screen, and the newest Nintendo DS Lite has an even better screen. It plays GameBoy Advance games as well as Nintendo DS games, so it's a good replacement.

The original Gameboy Advance didn't have a bright screen or a frontlight like the GameBoy Advance Sp, SP+ and Nintendo DS.
