Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-27FS100 27" TV
I have a Sony FD Trinitron WEGA model KD-27fs170 that I purchased less than 2 years ago. Last night it died, nothing fancy, just a pop and then it quit. I tried to reset to no avail. I jiggled the power cord and checked the outlet as per Sony's suggestions, nothing. TV is just dead as a doornail, no blinking lights or anything. I called my local repair shop and they state an average repair cost of $150 and it will cost $50 to just look at it. I'm not sure if it's worth sinking any money into a repair. Help!!!!!
The fuse may have blown. If so and you know how to check for a faulty fuse inside a TV, it may be worth a shot. Please unplug before opening and replace fuse with same value. If it blows again, you have to have it seen to by a repair technician. Good Luck, Regards, JUS004
